Hey kids, good morning.
So, how about that Bernier trade? The Vinny buyout. The potential Brad Cock buyout. Is the draft tonight? Where do the Leafs pick?
Exciting times. - systemtool

Well really what has he accomplished. Obviously on a Stanley Cup winning team (so was Kaberle ). He's pretty much been a no show for the past two years in the playoffs. I'm not saying he's junk, but i think he's a way from Hall. He keeps getting dropped down the lines. Was playing 4th line for a while. He seems to have the syndrome that Kessel used to get blamed for. Skating as fast as he can and shooting from anywhere into the goalie's chest. I don't honestly know what Seguin does. I've never seen him play center. I don't think he takes face-offs, or kill penalties (could be wrong) |

Meh. He had a good year last year. He's still young though. I'm gonna give him a bit more time. But I do agree that his playoff performance has been lacking. |

My wife and I left flowers on their porch last night. We didn't know them, but they were in our Hawthorne neighbourhood. I want to know exactly what happened. How do you forget a child for that long? I was saddened the last two days, today its mixed with anger. |

There are two types of people here. One who see only positives in Phaneuf, and those that see only negatives. The guy has all the physical attributes, but does show a pretty lousy hockey IQ sometimes with bad pinches and poor defensive zone coverage. Bottom line is is he worth what he gets paid? Right now I would suggest he is overpaid by a certain amount. And the minutes played argument has more to do with a lack of depth than Dion being great. I like the guy resigned at 5 maybe even 6, so long as it makes room for someone thats better in terms of positioning and foot speed (in the down low areas). My argument for trading him only stems form the fact that he won't take less money, just don't see it happening, and if he plays as much as he does each night, I don't see a championship with that scenario. - aminnes
I think that sums it up quite well. Good post. |
