I like the move though, tanguay is one hell of a player and can still play really good. I think he is better than jones personally, (frank) jones i wonder if sakic or roy pushes for forsberg to come back and get a job in management as well, that would be something to see most definitely! and yeah for sure i think they will resign hedjuk and the leafs trading liles back for a low draft pick to relieve some salary

I think Tanguay is way better than Jones....Jones can score some goals but he needs to play with someone who can get him the puck in the slot. Tanguay can and will create scoring chances. Maybe they'll takes Liles back in a package for Stastny?

When the game is on the line, you need Dion on the ice. You need to get him a legitimate partner for those types of situations.

I think Leiweke is very hands on with this team. He basically told Nonis to bring in Bernier. And i have the suspicion he will ask him to move Dion.

Because he's a very good defenseman that did a decent job.....I'm not saying he isn't. But he makes the type of horrible mistakes at really bad times that generally, a true #1 d-man does not make. having said that, he does other things very well. i'm not a hater, but a realist.

In an interview in a book called Behind The Moves, Burke was talking to Sutter about Dion. Burke heard some things about him in the dressing room.

He went down and talked to Wayne Primeau who was a leaf about it. Primeau said "If you have a chance to get Dion Phaneuf. You (frank)ing get Dion Phaneuf".
