You really don't get it do you. It's something we have been trying to tell you. Most aren't a fan of putting 65% of our cap on five players. It's not hard to figure out. - Oneonta Penguin
Really dumb question, why not move Fleury? or worse case scenerio, buy him out? THere's a glut of goalies out there, hell has anyone heard if Thomas is coming back? |

No, i don't like trying to spell out obvious things to someone who can't understand. It's not hard. Fifth graders can understand it. |

Letang is crap defensively. - Oilers4Life14
That's not true he isn't the best decision maker on the ice and turns the puck over trying to be cute but he's pretty solid defensively. |

Maybe you shouldn't have 18.2 locked up in 1.5 centers |

He would by far be your best blueliner. It's not even close. - Oneonta Penguin
Ya but make crappy DEFENSIVE plays. Sure he's great offensively, but we need defense, not offense. |

One has to wonder why Pitts wants to get rid of him if he's such elite talent. 7 million? That's not too bad - TomKlassen
7mil isnt bad when you aren't paying 2 other guys close to 20. I like Letang, hes a great player, but with that much tied up in 3 players, the rest of the roster would be AHL players, which it is already close to. Pens aparantly have a deep D prospect pool. I would love to see Ebs with Crosby, but not sure if Edm would part with him. The #1, Magnus and a roster player or prospect is probaly more reasonable.

We don't have a prospect ready. Mike Smith, I have no interest in. Ryan Miller and Jonas Hiller are the lone two I would. We don't match up with Anaheim of Buffalo for either of those two. I have no interest in Tim Thomas.

When two of the centers you are talking about are two of the top three players in the league, you lock them up. It's not rocket science here.

No sense trying to spell it out about Letang with this guy. He doesn't seem to get it. That roster player you are referring to better be a good young D man ready to make an impact. His name better not be Petry. |

Pavelic and Ladd or Wheeler would be a decent return for Fleury and Letang. |

As a Leaf fan, that would make me smile just an opinion. Move some of those defensive prospects for Miller or something, and as for hiller, same thing.

Insert joke about Gretzky trade ; ) Sorry, just found it funny you were trying to give this lesson to Oiler fans. |

I think that the Pens are going to want a half decent proven player back as part as the package. Although your trade idea is on the right track. |
