I agree. Especially over 7 mill. If Pens can't sign him they are not bargaining from a position of power. Plus their isn't a HUGE market for a dman like him. Some will not have the cap space for him, others will think he is overpriced at that and some like Chicago and Van for example have don't need a top dman. It wouldn't take Ebs to get him. If we are giving up the first pick and Paajarvi, there is not much better that they would be offered. People know he is a UFA in one year and Edmonton can wait till then.

Edmonton could use him for sure but if 7 mil doesn't cut it, I say pass. Even if he was a UFA I might pass at over 7 mil. Definitely if it costs us 3 good prospects or one of our top 6 (although I don't think Pens want eb, they will need a new dman and cap becomes a problem for them then).

oilers don't need letang we have offence we need a more defensive D, we have Shultz and when this team gets going he will be close to le tang, just cause we cant get anyone to come here doesn't mean we should take whoever just cause. Le tang couldn't get it done on the pens how is he on the oilers lol Dion would be better and cheaper but I say go for two cheaper defensemen than one over paided one, unless there name is Duncan or Chara
