I agree that Seguin is developing into a more complete player. Kessel now backchecks, was mildly surprised by his effort this season, but will never be considered a great defensive forward. Seguin looks like he will be a solid two way player, but will he be a bergeron or more of a peverly (When peverly actually scored, like in Atlanta)
If its the latter, i take Kessel hands down obviously. Even so, if i had to chose between them today, i would chose kessel. top line forwards are hard to come by.
Seguin and hamilton together? Different story.

I'd have to agree. To be honest, he might be the games next super star cornerstone d man. I'd love to have him on the Oil. He's got more upside than every single one of our D prospects. IMO

Rumor is the highest the PENS will offer is 8yrs 52-54mil, which is $6.5-6.75 per year. Apparently Letang believing he can easily get $7.5-8 as a UFA or from another team if traded, and is torn about whether to stay or not (the difference amounts to $1-1.5mil per year over 8 years = $8-12mil).

I think he is stuck behind the depth of the bruins. If he was picked by edmonton, i think he would be getting top line minutes and excelling. Like he did his sophomere year with boston.

But if Seguin is going to be a winger permanently for boston because of Bergeron and Krejci, that changes the comparison with Hall. With Hall as a winger vs Seguin as a centre, I struggle much more putting one ahead of the other. But if you consider Seguin as a winger, I pick Hall at wing over Seguin.
