No, I said the best C/RW. As in the best player that plays both center and right wing...

yes better then MacKinnon, Barkov on Monahan.....
- toddkac

I like him better than Monahan,
And I think he's much more rounded than MacKinnon... Not that he's better, just different
Think Bergeron vs Sedin

Only 5'11...
But I keep seeing scouts compare him to Zetterberg, Bergeron, and even Forsberg... PETER Forsberg

Ya, he'll AT LEAST be a really good player in time

- jdfitz77

I see 6' wherever I look, so he's good sized IMO. He's no behemoth, but he's no Gerbe, either.

Lindholm isn't just C, he's C/RW. Meaning he plays BOTH positions. He's the best guy in the draft that is a C/RW

If we don't move anywhere or acquire additional picks I hope Nichushkin falls to #8 and we get Valentin Zykov at #16. Having two 6' 200+ lb wings to play with Grigs would be awesome.
- Pierceme69

Zykov is intriguing to me
Had a great 1st year in th OHL
Ya, he could fit nicely with Grigorenko

I've seen him listed at both...
He's ok sized, needs to add weight... But so do most 18yr olds before they can make it in the NHL

I'm still hanging on to my pipedream that we could trade for Kuznetsov from WSH, draft Nichushkin, and have the Russian Connection line of Nichushkin - Grigorenko - Kuznetsov.

Might see Vanek go to Washignton.....it makes me mad to think could of had Forsberg+ for Vanek.

hey we agree on something
I like Lindholm better then Monahan too but Linholm is farther from playing in the NHL then Monahan.

You could see Monahan this year where Lindholm is 1-3 years away.

No, actually. I put the "wink" face after the initial response for a reason. You said he was like the 4/5th best C in the draft, so I countered by saying he was the best C/RW.

Buchnevich would be a mid-1st if he wasn't signed for 2 more years in the KHL
He's prob gonna drop to late-2nd, or further

We can do that without trading for Kuznetsov if we grab Zykov at #16. 6' 208 lbs.

NHL Central Scouting’s Chris Bordeleau:
“He's an unbelievable talent; scores the big goals. He's going to be special. Great skater, strong kid. Really a solid kid. He goes into the corner and comes out with the puck. He has great hands, can shoot the puck, passes the puck, does everything well.”

The thing about Zykov is he has only had one year in the Q and it is an offensive league.
Zykov wont see the NHL for at least 3 years.

Lindholm has one more year in Sweden & then he'll be playing in the NHL
May end up starting at the wing,
But he doesn't need more time to hone his skills
Just has to add some pounds, which shouldn't be too hard as an 18yr old

I think a lot of these guys are closer to being in the NHL than u do
Maybe not all right away, but most of the top25 are a year or two away IMO

I think 2 is reasonable for Zykov. He's supposedly a very hard worker and he improved dramatically from last year to this. He plays in the Q though, so I'm assuming he couldn't even go to Rochester for at least 1 season, right?

yes agree to disagree....Lindholm may see the NHL after next year he may get a year in the AHL too so he gets used to the NNorth American rinks and playing style...depends who drafts him.
but with players in the CHL like Zykov it is NHL or CHL and they cant play in the AHL so I don't see many NHL teams rushing propects......they never do.
