Barkov is my guy this year (although I also love Lindholm & Ristolainen)
And if Jones fulfills his potential, wow... That kid really could be the next "Pronger"

I was very high on Galchenyuk as well. I believe MacKinnon and Drouin are being over-hyped. You compare their numbers to guys who have recently gone high (Stamkos Tavares Kane hell eben Crosby) and suddenly you'll come back to earth. On the other hand, compare Barkov's numbers to Granlund's (who's supposed to be a real good NHL center), package in his faceoff and defensive abilities, and I think you've got a hell of an NHL player.

Definitely a possibility. My dream scenario is as follows:
Shinkaruk at 8
Trade Staf+Miller+16 to Pho for 11+Gormley
Trade Ennis+Sekera+11 for B. Ryan+
Hopefully trade for Bollans
Our 2014-2015 lineup(which is the year Regier should be targeting as the year we compete again):

I don't think he's gonna be available, but if he's there then hell yeah I'd take him. We need a top-6 rw and if we can get lindholm or maybe even nichushkin I would consider keeping ennis. I just don't think we could have shinkaruk and ennis in our top 6, especially with the other 4 guys we have because none of them are that physical.

Monahan is a lock for CGY. By far the most guaranteed pick in the draft.

4. Jones: Polie said Jones is the best player in the draft, and he gets his replacement for Suter. Elite 2-way defenseman. Shea Weber will develop him into an elite 1st pair defenseman.

I just dont see all that happening. Id rather get nich at 5, then nurse or risto at 8, get zadorov or horvat at 11, 16 get Fucale (i know everyone here except me will flip) or a forward like domi if hes there.

Then get an exblad next year.

Then pray, pray, pray and get the other top 6 center in Mcdavid and have a Mcdavid, grigo, girgo/larsson 1-2-3 center punch.

I think Jones will drop out of the top-3 as well, which in my mind means that Nashville could be open to trading out of the 4 slot with Barkov off the board. Would Carolina maybe consider moving up to #4 to take Jones at that point? Would Nashville drop from 5 to 8? A lot of things could happen. Nashville could stand pat and take Lindholm or Nichushkin at #4 as well. Do we all agree that if Jones falls to Carolina at #5 they take him?

Jones is going first, nothing but smoke screens from the AVs to try and get Florida to move up to get Mac first overall, and get an extra pick or two.

I think Jones will drop out of the top-3 as well, which in my mind means that Nashville could be open to trading out of the 4 slot with Barkov off the board. Would Carolina maybe consider moving up to #4 to take Jones at that point? Would Nashville drop from 5 to 8? A lot of things could happen. Nashville could stand pat and take Lindholm or Nichushkin at #4 as well. Do we all agree that if Jones falls to Carolina at #5 they take him?

Yes they would take him, but i read today that the Nashville GM i think his name is dave polie said Seth Jones is the best player in the draft which translates to Jones is #1 on Nashville's board. They wont pass on him.
