Is it too much? Elite scorer, capable of being elite goaltender, and a guy who can score 30 with a good team. (he had an off year).

Then get back 15th, 2014 first (probably mid 20s) and 2 top prospects.

Maybe we throw in a second rounder or 2 seconds.

Okposo, Strome, and the 15th with us picking up some of Vanek and Millers salary/cap hit. Could be a framework but is a pipe dream.

I've read an article on him that showed that even during the regular season he made every one of the Hawks players better(possession-wise) when he played with them. He could end up being a nice 20 goal top 6power forward and fit in well with a team that needs some size up front.

Gardiner's advanced stats/possession numbers show that he's a pretty damn good d-man already and he's still young and relatively inexperienced. I think Pitt would end up being very happy if they could get Gardiner + another good asset back for Letang.

His puck possession is much needed. Helps round out the roster with veteran talent. Since they said they aren't buying him out, might as well hope for the best.
