Can't blame the anger in Bolt nation but it had to be done. Vinny is a class act and will be missed but his contract was brutal. You can't blame Stevie Y and Vinik on this, the finger points to the Bozo regime prior. Thank god we only have 2 more contracts from the ASS CLOWN era and it's finally time to move on. My bet is Carle gets a second chance this season and if the same lack luster effort comes out.....he's next.

Just a thought and I know you guys want Vinny back but do you guys really want to be paying a player twice ?

Marty wants another cup; lightning are at least 3 years out for being cup potential if not longer; Marty gets you some key pieces; just my opinion.

it is something horrible, its as painful as a full can of paint being thrown into a cannon and shot at your nuts

but the reality is, it had to be done at some point whether it was today or tomorrow,or next year..get the pain over with now, get the young studs coming up get their 1st rookie year in so by next year the jitters are gone, and lets get stomping

This was brought up on Twitter by BoltProspects (I think) - the Lecavalier decision signals that Yzerman is putting the team before the fans, and I'm okay with that. I'm paraphrasing, but that was the basics. I couldn't agree more.

Yes, indeed. It's interesting. I couldn't tell you whether it means the team is dead set on Drouin, or the team wants to know more about him before making a final decision.
