Not at all, Brassard would move to 3rd line center.

I hear this is where the trolls are hanging out today?
- Oilhab

Yup, but you can only comment if the player you get rid via trade or buyout, completely suck and then retire.

Precisely, so chill the (frank) out.

It's an open forum, it you can't deal with that then piss off.

I highly doubt you would have responded to me the way you did if I was a Rangers fan.

I hope the Rangers sign Connolly then you can come back and say we can buyout Connolly in 2014 like you said were going to do with VL4 in 2014. Where are the Rangers getting the 3rd amnesty from. Please, have mom drop you off at summer camp, lose some weight, research the the CBA and then come back.

Sooner than the Rags' 5th!

I wouldn't bet on that. This is a ridiculous statement. When's the last time the leafs even won a po series? You're going to compare your D and goalie to ours? Does Kessel look like more of champ than Cally?

I don't think we're clamoring for him but one has to think bang for the buck might be worth it

I just find it interesting that for several weeks we go on about how we are fine at Center with Steps/Brassard and kids in the system and we won't miss Richards, and his production is down, yada yada.

If cap recapture wasn't an item on the table right now, this wouldn't even be a discussion, as Richards has outproduced VL over the last 5 years.

Why would Vinny sign with NY after his buddy is bought out after 2 years with the team. I don't see it happening.

But I would take Vinny over Richards any day, since I think he's more of a scoring threat where Richards is set up guy, and we have enough of those type of players around.

getting back to the 3rd and 4th line players conversation, Clutterbuck would definitely be a welcome addition.

Clowe, Doreset and Clutterbuck would give us that grit back. But we also can't do all three without a Richards buy out.

When he's playing for 5 or 6m somewhere else and Brassard outproduces him at half that we'll all be saying damn it's a good thing we didn't sign VL and bump Brassard to the 3rd line.

Let's call up Sather and find out. I think he might want to try the fastest gun in the west routine one more time with Habs.

How did the Rangers do vs Boston? Lol. Rangers are the same every year... middle of the pack, lose in 1st or 2nd round. Sign every free agent in the off season... do it all over again. It's a joke. You can't even tell me that isn't what happens lol

At least they're generally relevant unlike the Laughs whose Jersey has been worn to more comedy festivals than any other sports team

But at least the Laughs are famous. So famous , Central named a program after them and named it for the Leafs.

You know," Just for Laughs."
