of course, because they always sign a big name UFA. Not trying to troll.. this is what Sather likes to do. Vinny is a good player, so it would make sense at the right price. I wouldn't be surprised. But there's the other half of the league that would want him too..

sounds like the type of player any team can use

Which is why I would buy out Richards and play Lindberg at the 3C spot with Clowe and potentially Miller.

i just don't want to rush lindberg into the NHL. i assume he's probably close but still needs to adjust to the smaller rink and physicality of the nhl.

i think miller is better suited to start the season as a 3C than lindberg at the moment.

Numbers is what you want ok.

7, the number of years the Leafs missed the the playoffs before this year
29, the number of franchises that made the playoffs before the the leafs did
3, the highest the Leafs have finished in the North east since the lockout.

Power in numbers.

Lecavlier, if he wants to sign anywhere, will be signed for north of $5M/year. The only way you discount that is if it's a market he is willing to take a discount to go to. If the name on the sign entering your city is not "Montreal", I doubt there is much of a chance of that (unless he keeps his family in Tampa and decides to play a year close by). The list of suitors will be in the double digits. The most sought after free agent has just been added to the market.

This blog was an obvious troll magnet, but seriously, a new city/team, guy can still play, could excel here but has to be on the cheap, don't think it will happen.

Definitely would be an interesting signing, but I honestly would rather not and dont see it happening anyway.

Just like Homer loves his aging defensemen and his mediocre goalies.

And that's all we're saying, every team is going to inquiring including NJ because he presumably can be had for less money

Not quite sure where you're going with this, Leafs are set in net....they going to sign Vinny to a 7mil+ contract and than buy him out a couple of years later? Seems to be the trend for the Rangers.

So if he signs with the Rangers he's a flop but if he signs with your team(trolls) then it's a good signing? Makes perfect sense....to the trolls

Sign Bryz long term and make Bob a back up. Trade Bob and he wins a Vezina. Solid return for a Vezina winning goaltender

To sum up my views on the last few days round here, buy out Richie, NO to Clowe & Vinny unless they want to play for cheap. Next
