The Leafs have a brighter future than the Rangers and seem to be building the right way, a lot of this is thanks to Burke.
The Rangers continuously make the same mistakes year after year. They sign big name players without any regard to team chemistry or the needs of the team. That's why the Rangers are solid year after year, but they are always missing something. - RedwingsAreKHL
None of the Rangers home grown talent counts right. Thank you move along. |

That last statement could not be more off based. We have more home grown players on our team than "big named players" so |

the majority of our core are home-grown players (or acquired via trading those "horrible contracts" we love to give out) that are under 25 years old that are already considered hardened NHL veterans. like staal, girardi, MDZ, mcdonagh, moore, dorsett, stepan, kreider, brassard, hagelin, MZA, boyle, callahan, and lundqvist.
the rangers future >>> leafs future and it really isn't a contest. |

Right we didn't draft Hank, Cally, Stepan, Kreider, Hagelin, Staal, Del Zotto, sign an undrafted Girardi and had him grow starting in the ECHL, Mcdonagh is basically homegrown, yeah we're doing it all wrong, do f'ing trolls have any clue as to what you're talking about...any clue at all? |

"McKenzie just tweeted Clutterbuck may be on the trading block. Would absolutely love him with us as i think he would be that big nasty forward who can bang the body, stick up for his teammates and chip in some goals. Thoughts?
- WayneY"
Clutterbuck is not a nasty forward and he NEVER sticks up for his teammates. He is more of a pest, albeit, a very effective one. - RedwingsAreKHL
OMG that is so true, it's not like he was 1st in hits in 08-09, 09-10, 10-11, 3rd in 11-12, and tied for 9th last year. |

Rangers don't get Credit for turning a guy like Girardi into a good player. The only good ECHler ever is obviously Jonathan Quick.

Is that idiot a Kings fan or Red Wings fan? I think he's confusing himself - cranford93
No he's a Kings fan, he just hates ever Euro born player ever. But Voynov and Kopitar don't count as Euro's. |

Didn't think so. Go back to sleep. |

you just embarassed yourself pretty badly. you do realize that stepan was on pace to score 75 points last season, that kreider and hagelin are 2 top-6 forwards that are also in the top 5 fastest players in the league, and that DZ is a 22 or 23 year old Dman that has already scored over 40 points in a season? |

I wonder if someone had a box of Timbits and was shaking them over at the Leafs fans. |

You were just ragging on us for doing things the wrong way and saying all we do is sign high profile free agents...
Now youre crapping on some of the home grown core of the squad.

I don't hate Euros in general. I can't stand the wimpy North American, like Doughty, as much as the wimpy Euro. |

So, you're basing your love affair for a player for stats that he earned in a lockout shortened season? Lets see what he can do in a full regular season, year after year. You know better than that. |

we can base it off his career.
140 points in 212 nhl games for a 23 year old center. not bad at all. |

Do you always base your assessments of players on them when they are 22/23 years old or younger? You should also know better. Same methodology behind both of our statements.

You mean like Trevor Lewis. Wish Stepan played more like him. |
