If Vinny is open to a short contract, I think NYR are a serious option for him. Would Sather have enough money to keep Richards and sign Lecavalier? They are good friends. |

No. Its one or the other. Definitely not both. We need money for our own RFAs |

No, if Richards is here we're signing no one but I think all of this talk is based on the presumption that Richards is in the same situation as Lecavalier's contract |

I suspect Vinny will want a descent salary also (even though he got all of his current contract from tampa), he will want to double dip, plenty of takers to get 5M+ IMO. |

So back to Bolland, is he worth trading for and what do you offer? |

I would hope sather would inquire. Nieves and the 65th pick. What about Skjei and 4th? |

I honestly believe we can get Bolland for cheaper than Skjei |

No... we have Lindberg, why the hell are we trading for Bolland?
Can we let our prospects step in and try to establish themselves instead of blocking them with other players? |

Dave Bolland is a player who many other teams would like to have. He's an important player for the Blackhawks and their runs to Cups. Plus he's a pest. |

As much as we all want Lindberg to just jump in and take over the 3C role, I believe he is going to need a year or so to adjust to NA style of hockey. Thats not a knock on him or what I believe he can become, just an honest assessment. He may need some seasoning |

We have to get rid of Boyle then. I dont want anyone getting in his way to play. |

As long as Lindberg has a roster spot is all I care about. |

I dont think we really need him. I would much rather trade for Clutterbuck than Bolland because I think we have a similar player like Bolland in Dorsett |

don't be surprised when toronto signs the rangers' sloppy seconds in brad richards after we buy him out. i hear you guys are still interested even after he shunned you guys and took a paycut to come to a contender. - rangerdanger94
The Leafs have a brighter future than the Rangers and seem to be building the right way, a lot of this is thanks to Burke.
The Rangers continuously make the same mistakes year after year. They sign big name players without any regard to team chemistry or the needs of the team. That's why the Rangers are solid year after year, but they are always missing something.

Better option than buying out Richards and replacing with another high priced guy in VL4. Move Boyle to the wing or the 4th line and roll with Stepan, Brassard and Bolland as the 3 centers sound nice to me. |

"McKenzie just tweeted Clutterbuck may be on the trading block. Would absolutely love him with us as i think he would be that big nasty forward who can bang the body, stick up for his teammates and chip in some goals. Thoughts?
- WayneY"
Clutterbuck is not a nasty forward and he NEVER sticks up for his teammates. He is more of a pest, albeit, a very effective one.
