Not sure waht your annual income is.. but I would kill for a 250,000 annual salary.

I think it was actually the NTC that was the clincher.

Makes sense, Kulemin is a good friend of Malkin's and they need another elite centre for when one of Crosby or Malkin go down with an injury.

I was talking with a fellow at the corner store and he was saying the Pens needed Vinny. They needed a good 3rd line centre.

So Letang turns down 8 years, 56M, but now signs for two million more.

You try feeding a girlfriend and maybe a baby and a dog on only 7 million a year.

Maybe it's just because of his number.

Then the Habs are (frank)ed for Subban.

I know but for him it's nothing...I mean would you refuse a 7M$/year job just to ask 250K$ more...

EDIT : say you earn 100K a year...would you turn down a job and then sign for 103.5K$...in Quebec you'd probably pay the extra 3500$ in taxes and end up with equal money anyway.

Bump!

I know you've all been waiting for it, so here it is!

QP's 2013 annual draft wishlist for the Habs

After a successful list last season that saw guys like Hudon, Thrower, Galchenyuk, Collberg drafted amongst my wishlist, I don't think this year's version will be as great as the draft is hard to predict from #15.

I gave myself a leash this year due to the depth of this draft, and will name 5+ guys per pick.

In my list, for every pick I went from the most wanted players to the least(even if I wouldn't mind them at all).

You'll notice as the draft goes deeper I name mostly Frenchies but that's because I don't know the lower-tier guys from the other leagues.

Have fun!

Move-up candidates: Samuel Morin, Frédérik Gauthier, Bo Horvat and Anthony Mantha.

M'eh to move-up but wouldn't mind: Alexander Wennberg,Darnell Nurse, Curtis Lazar.

Candidates at 25: Valentin Zykov, Adam Erne, Ryan Hartman, Ryan Pulock, Josh Morrissey, Robert Hagg and André Burakovsky.

M'eh at 25: Émile Poirier, Ian McCoshen, Morgan Klimchuk, Zachary Fucale and Kerby Rychel.

Candidates at 34/36: Morgan Klimchuk, Émile Poirier, Laurent Dauphin, Mike McCarron, Madison Bowey, JT Compher, Justin Bailey, Pavel Buchnevich, Arrturi Lekhonen, Nicolas Petan.

M'eh early in the 2nd Dillon Heatherington, Steve Santini, Tommy Vannelli.

Candidates at 55 : Dillon Heatherington, Jonathan-Ismael Diaby, William Carrier, Zach Nastasiuk, Jimmy Lodge, Jason Richardinson, Chris Bigras, Shea Theodore, Marko Dano.

M'eh at 55 Tristan Jarry, Marc-Olivier Roy, Nick Sorensen, Phillipe Desrosiers.

Candidates at 71: Yan-Pavel Laplante, Jordan Subban, Phillippe Desrosiers, Ryan Kujawinski, Anthony Duclair, Oliver Bjorkstrand.

Candidates at 86: Kurt Etchegary, Gabryel Paquin-Boudreau, Jan Kostalek, Vincent Dunn, Rémi Elie, Peter Cehlarik(sp?)

Candidates at 116: Alexandre Bélanger, Jérémy Grégoire, Matt Murphy, Sven Andrighetto, Dylan Labbé, JC Lipon.

Candidates at 176: Vladislav Lysenko, Victor Crus-Rydberg, Victor Arvidsson, Nikolas Brouillard, Tyler Hill, Anton Slepyshev.

Candidates at 206: Keegan Kanzig, Mackenzie Weegar, Tomas Gobeil, Maxime Gravel, Christopher Clapperton.

Is there a special clause which states that they become busts if the Leafs pick them?

Not necessarily. There's a slim chance the Habs draft the other Subban this draft. That just might help come negotiation times with PK.

I like that guy. He genuinely thinks I'm racist towards you guys and that I have this undying hatred for all things French.
