May have to do with the "extra pressure*" of making it to the post season. Making bad moves just to stay afloat. So they simply end up being middle of the pack teams.

The whole question mark about Price is his consistency...I don't see how even a good start to a season can erase that question mark...wouldn't he have to do it for a few years in a row? Or in a pressure situation like the playoffs? None of these scenarios can happen before the next olympics...

Also, in a lose-and-you're-out tournament, you can't afford to have a goalie who can crumble at any moment...let's face it, that's Price right now. Great when he's on, but only holding on by a thread...
