What I think he meant about his feeling:

Sicne it's an olympic year, Price might/should be motivated to start the season strong and be in shape because he's a possible candidate to make team canada. This extra motivation should also help him bounce back and offer the Habs some better results.

- WaterBoy

that sums it up, but it seems to be difficult for some to understand

example: oilhab

perhaps i should try spanish

They all come with the big palette s'tie... hiphop style with the huge tag that you aren't supposed to remove.

Ok, I'l play the game.

So he gets all motivated and what not... he makes the Canadian team, plays the tournament, comes back tired and then sucks it up in the playoffs because hte olympics are a thing of the past and he's tired.

How does that sound ?

- WaterBoy

heh i can play the game too

so you're saying he shouldnt add the motivation of making team canada to play well because he might actually make the team and be too tired?

yeah perfect

No, what I'm saying is the Olympics shouldn't be the reason to get Price motivated. It should be a non-factor.

Like someone said earlier on, I would rather see him take the 2 weeks off and focus on getting the Habs in the playoffs. We all know we need him to be (frank)ing perfect and great to have our team in the playoffs next year.

no i'm pretty sure you said this

So Price doesn't want to win the cup and if it wasn't for the Olympics this year, Price would be just counting the days till his next check?
- Oilhab

which is not what i said at all....unless you can quote me saying any of that

right but at the same time extra motivation for him in general on top of redeeming his end of the year isnt a bad thing for habs fans in general now is it?

cuz you were making it sound like extra motivation is a bad thing and i dont understand why it would be

He should be motivated and in shape every season, it's not like price has a history of bad starts to the season. He does have a history of bad finishes though, whether it was the bad diet that tired him out in his first year or two, or the playing too many games, or whatever. But he always seems to come back with good start.

I guess some people can only see what has recently happened and assume that he was unmotivated and needs an extra push.

I don't understand why anyone would wear a hat that has a bill the size of a canoe paddle, is invariably worn with the bill facing any way except forward, and loosely placed on their head in a manner that could be blown off by the slightest breeze.

I don't think it's motivation. More that he seems to struggle to find that extra gear when he's needed the most.

Edit: or when HE needs it the most. whatever way you want to look at it.

no some people like you just like to assume and put words into other ppl's mouths, or completely lack understanding in general which is why waterboy and i are able to actually have a back and forth conversation without your ridiculous replies that often make no sense and are only there to try to start arguments

If Price needs extra motivation to play to his regular strenght, then this team is screwed.

How (frank)ing simple is that to understand ?
