I just can't see any other team wanting him.

Which brings the question, why do we want to keep him?

- Scabeh

he does deserve at least one year to redeem himself though its true

The real question is, will Davis Drewiskie give up #44 for Vincent Lecavalier. Discuss.

I would take Lecavalier on the habs for more than 4-5 mil range. You guys are crazy not to want a size down the middle and a guy who can still score.

He doesn't have the 50 year contract anymore. Give him the cap hit at 3-4 years and I take him every chance i get.

Remember when the Vinny to montreal talks heated up a few years ago. They said Beliveau would allow his number to be used.

Briere - No Way - EVER - Playoff performer or not. In the blog it says at the right price. Take that money, give it Bickell.

Jagr - Great Player, not what Habs need.

Lecavalier - He is the only one of the three in this blog that makes a little sense, but for what? 5 per for 3 - 4 years? That's crazy! Unless DD is on his way out, makes no sense. At a lower price, say 3.5 it would be ok though.

I would hate to even see Pleky be traded just to make room for Vinny, then Vinny gets hurt. (Cuz he is injury prone).

Build through the Draft, give Chuky and Eller the ice-time they need. Keep moving forward. Don't look back.

- habs_mike_27

on the other hand veterans such as Vinny or Jagr can teach these 2 young centers (Galy and Eller) things they probably can't learn from any current player we have (can u imagine what Jagr could teach Galchenyuk ...even for one year...still though not worth it if its too expensive or better is available)

Having Vinny would certainly give Galy the time he needs without MTL habs fans pressuring him, the kind of time ppl like Ribeiro could have used in MTL...

that was after vinny had 50 goals.

vinny's production slid when the market crashed in 2008-09. Maybe with a more stable market vinny will stop worrying about his investments and play hockey.

clearly a correlation there
