Letang has a lot to prove still before he is considered a cornerstone building block of any franchise. Why do you think Pitts is willing to move him? If he was THAT good then they would open the vault for him just like they did for Crosby and Malkin. You don't trade d-men with elite talent. You make room to keep them!
