Agreed. Feisty player.
I love his pix of him lifting the cup with cuts and bruises.... typical "Canadian hockey player" - WaterBoy
Getting a puck to the face in the final game did help. |

Eric Engels: Lecavalier, Briere, Jagr and the Habs... - EricEngels
the habs should get all of them this is a good oporuity to improve the team so sign leavalier for 3 mil - he will take a hometown discount and he is already gettin paid by TBL for the buyout and then sign briere for 3 mil too, he iwll take a discount to play with lecavalier and plekanec...... jagr is a good veteran but he isnt like he used to be so we can probably sign him for 2 mil or 2.5....
another good idea would be to sign richards and reunite him with lecavalier bcuz nyr will buy him out. 4 mil might do the trick |

That's a big IF. Wouldn't mind if he's good there.
Would make our wingers small.... unless you move Gionta - WaterBoy
Yeah, well small wingers are better than small centers I think. If we absolutely need to have DD in the alignment anyway because we can't trade him ... |

First part, explain how he is a playoff dude when his average ppg in the playoffs (0.634) is the same as his avg ppg in the regular season (0.662) ?
Plek hasn't stepped up but he hasn't been a dud, he is just doing what he does.
It takes a special player to step things up. And it is not like the team as a whole has ever stepped up. People are looking for a scape goat, and if it is not Price it is Plek.
By the way Vincent has never stepped up either, Career Season (0.843) Playoffs ( 0.825)
And as many people have said, Vincent of late is not the same player, so what makes anyone think that he would be able to up his game in the playoffs here?
As for the second part, if you get a great deal for him then trade him, no one is untouchable. - Oilhab
Thanks stats man. Did you watch any of the games or?
Pleks was unwilling to go into the tough places and didn't bring anything physical to the game. He is a second line center behind a good first line center at best.
He is misused as a hab true. But Lecavalier at 6'4" can bring alot more edge and puck protection than pleks.
Pleks doesn' have to be traded. Lecav and Pleks as a 1-2 punch until Galchenyuk or Eller can step up would be ideal. Dump Desharnais. |

to play for glorious (sp??) franchise like the habs is an honour and if given the opportunity any hometown player should want to play and bring a cup back... esp if you are already being paid to not play (buyout...) |
