Maybe there's an organization out there who is scouting for raw hockey talent on this website and will discover my immense talent and offer me a job!!

No, because it's fun and interesting to see what people think about a given scenario. I don't think it's an option, if it were, I think it'd be done (the trade with Dallas especially) but maybe someone has insight or an opinion that I haven't considered, so I post and see what people have to say about it.

He's and overager and he's huge. No idea about his hockey skillset.

Talks around the net today say that Lecavalier is open to the idea of playing in Montreal. Now, whether or not Bergevin is interested or not has yet to be discussed. Nor is the price tag discussed. One thing seems to be certain. If this happens, it would appear that both Plekanec and Desharnais would be expendable. While Desharnais doesn't seem to have much value, it is said that both Dallas and Tampa would be interested (low cap hit for a 2nd line center).

Someone (and I almost fell on the ground laughing when I read this) said that Dallas might be interested in a Eriksson for Plekanec+Desharnais trade. They like Plekanec and the idea of reuniting Desharnais with Cole. I think this is laughable, but it's out there.

I'm all for lecavalier at w/e price 2-3 years to mentor galchenyuk. They have similar style and he's probably gonna develop in a "Lecavalier at his prime" center.

Not too sure about Jagr.. could help plekanec and be dealt at the deadline for 2nd/prospect but I dont think he can follow Therrien's agressive forecheck type of play...

Ok. enough of that.

My point was that last year, Habs were picking 3rd overall. Everybody knew who the prime prospects around that rank were. This year is different, where they draft 25th, and where a lot of stuff will depend on what the other teams that draft before will do.

As far as UFAs go, you can at least speculate because you know what these players can do at the NHL level.

Not sure I agree. Lecavalier had a power game. Not sure I see Gal going down that road. I see Gal as more of a Sakic style player. Just not... As good.
