So it's like any other amateur draft that has ever happened in any sport ever
- DoubleDown

The past few years have been more predictable, you always have a few surprises, but basically the guys that are seen as 1st rounders are pick as such.

This year you could make a case for a guy that will be picked 45 to be a first rounder.

I know he's an effective player, but the Habs are pretty tight with the cap, even before signing a guy like Bolland.

His cap hit is what? near 4M? to play on the third line?

I'm not sure he's the guy we want.

- Scabeh

9M is not tight.

I'd rather give Kristo a shot on that line.

Me too. And also, a pair of winter boots.

QP since you know prospects, thoughts on Tyler Andrew?
- jugkope

He's and overager and he's huge. No idea about his hockey skillset.

Horton?

- Pecafan Fan

Need a winger with size that can score to play in the top 6 and replace Gionta

Bottom line is I think Vinny would be great for Habs if price and term is right and if DD is out. Vinny would be a great mentor for Eller and Galchenyuk imo.

The Lightning will be searching for a 2nd center. What would Plekanec cost?
