Yeah but at least the Canuck coach knows who Letang is , he has no clue who Edler is - VANTEL
While watching the basketball game the other night they mentioned that Popovich used to yell at Parker until he literally broke done and started crying.
I see Edler and Torts having a similar 1st season |

We have 3 very good young goalies. One was called by most the best goalie outside the NHL. - Bieksa#3
Prospects are just prospects until they prove themselves though, I would never rely on a prospect panning out in order to make such a big decision for the franchise like choosing Luongo over Schneider. Again, do you believe that keeping Luongo over Schneider in order to get back a better return is worth downgrading your starting goal-tender and taking on those cap penalties later? If so, then we'll have to agree to disagree because to me I'll take the better/cheaper/younger goalie in Schneider while being cap penalty free all day long. |

I said good team, not Bettman's best friend's team. If a goalie can't have a .920+ save percentage on that team then they (frank)ing suck. |

Good comparison, you could say that for quite a few players though. Imagine what he would have done to guys like Wellwood and Raymond if he coached them. |

Why can't we buy out Lu next season. Canucks are (frank)ed in 3 yrs. That's reality. Why not make a trade that gives us a few more pieces to try to make a run. |

Why not keep Lu and trade Schneider for a great prospect and a first round pick, that right there makes the organization stronger. Waiving Lu is such a waste, boy they really (frank)ed up with that long contract. - LeftCoaster
So, Schneider for Laughton and the 11th overall pick? Maybe turn around and swap the 11th and the 24th for a top 5 pick? |

Funny how we overvalue our players. He is an Olympic coach who has no idea who he is and we think the kid is all world.
It put things into place on Edlers true value . |

Are u whacked. Torts knows exactly who he is. As well as every other top 9 forward and top 4 D man. He's being coy |

Couturier or B Schenn and their 1st is more to my liking.
Then trade Edler to the NYI for Ryan Strome and a 2nd. |

Well, there is no way that the Flyers are giving up Simmonds, Couturier, or B. Schenn. Who else would you prefer? |

Simple, they want a great young goaltender they pay the price. Or they can sign a UFA. That worked out well for them last time. |

Really? So the flyers are willing to keep Couts, Schenn and say Vorecek(who given his chemistry with Giroux is less likely to be moved)and ignore the fact they need a goalie and #1 d man. A 3rd line center is more valuable to them? Homer likes his players but he isn't retarded |

If Karlsson can't get that, how can Letang even THINK he should get that and Karlsson's MILES better than Letang. |

Could you imagine Karlsson on that PP |

That would be sick as hell, he'd turn Crosby in putting up Gretzky-like numbers and Malkin into Messier-lite. He'd easily put up as much points as an Orr or Coffey did in their primes.

Someone on that team has to be traded. Isn't going to be a Staal. Not many other options. |
