I hear there is a top 6 center on the market.
No brainer for the Sabres to move in, but they'll be plenty of suitors. |

Good grief. I do not believe that it puts us in the playoffs. There is something about a swiss cheese defense that needs to be addressed. - truthbluth
Sounds like an 8th seeded team to me. |

Are you sure because your post speaks otherwise, no way Darcy grabs Vinny if he's bought out, I see your point but it won't happen. As if we both didn't know that. |

Not so good... The value is right but it's not right for us. If we pick Pulock at 11 then we'll have an offensive stud with great IQ to replace Kimmo when he retires. If something of similar value could be worked without using the 11 then I'd be more open to it. I just really think they should keep the 11 and pick Pulock, as he really is the 2nd best defenseman in this draft behind no one but Seth Jones. - JAKEw1234
Maybe second best offensive gifted D-man..
I personally think that Risto is the best well-rounded d-man in this group behind jones |

Vanek hasn't been traded yet, so until he is, the window is open. |

If this draft is similar to '03 then would you rather have
Nathan Horton (#3 2003)
or
Braydon Coburn (#8 2003)
Jeff Carter (#11 2003)
Steve Bernier (#16 2003)
IF for some reason you guys had all 3 of those picks, I would rather just hold onto them in this draft. - JAKEw1234
Steve Bernier.... I wish he was on our team. Big Power forward tons of upside.....Oh wait....He had that good game for us once..... |

Pass. And by pass, I mean when Vinny is told, "Darcy Regier is calling," he'll say, "pass." - truthbluth
Ya, he will sign with a contender. No need to spend big money on him during a Re-Tool or Re-Build or whatever the sexy name is this week. |

Shero working his magic with Kunitz.

Lecavalier bought out
I still trade Miller and Vanek
But I'd claim Vinny as well
Why?
Can't think of a better guy to mentor out youth
And we can get him for nothing |

miller and JGL for #11.. he is not a stud, he is a project but he could be a solid offensive dman in time.. - SabresFaninIndiana
That's actually quite intriguing. I think we'd be much safer taking Pulock, who at this moment and age already has a 101 MPH slapshot, and going after Luongo once he hits the FA market. Lu would also be much more compatible with our media. I do like Jerome Gauthier-Leduc though. What's this knock on his size? He's 6-2 but I hear concerns with his size? |

Not without Vanek, makes no sense this team stinks as it is why bring in Vinny with no scorer he can pass to. |

If you say it's a top 6, that means he is a 4-6, which means that would be another mediocre player. Awesome! Are we replacing Vanek with a Stafford? |

You'd "claim" Vinny? meaning you would take on his contract?
He is getting a like 9M salary in each year on top of the 7.7M cap hit. |
