They need a scoring winger to play opposite of Forsberg though.. you just said that..
Monahan doesn't fit that? - JVince11
I think they need center more that's why Barkov would of been perfect |

They need a Center. A really good one. |

Calgary offered all 3 of their 1sts and COL declined. Pysyk and 8 and. 16 probably isn't enough - OneKaneOneCup
that is a much better deal then Calgary was offering.....20 of Calgarys picks are in the 20s |

Why have no assistants been hired yet, just because the Sabres dont feel like it at the moment? - ImThatGuy
You're right. It is taking some time.
But don't assume that people are turning them down. Perhaps they're leaving no stone unturned, and if that's the case, I commend Brian's brother Ron for being so thorough. |

He was the only one not fired. Again why have no assistant coaches been hired. Remember the rumors of the coaches the Sabres had contact with a couple montsh back, and then nothing. |

why? I hear FLA loves Drouin.
I just dont see any situation where Mackinnon, Jones, Drouin and Barkov dont got 1-4, in some order.
Its possible of course, I just dont see it. - Homer
I mean "if" Jones at 2 you have to take him imo |

Next up at the podium for the 8th pick in the draft is the Buffalo Sabres's head coach Brian's brother, Ron Rolston |

Ok, so they dont do that with their Head Coaching search but with their Assistants make it a full blown no stone unturned kind of search? I dont buy it. |

Where did you see rumors?
There were some "possibilities" thrown around by that tool Harrington, I think, just because of Rolston's past connections with them. That's not a rumor, that's someone speculating. |

you call them aging and streaky...I call them them both really good.
It matters not where Pysyk was picked, he is being viewed as a 1-2 guy now.
If that plus #8 isnt enough, and maybe your right that it isn't, then I'm not interested. That's just me. - Homer
I guess I have never been the biggest Vanek fan, especially when he is the best player on the team. Too many games you barely notice him.
Anyway, the Sabres have to build piece by piece and they don't have any elite talent right now and I think they realize that. I think they realize they will never be a Cup contender without obtaining them. It was relatively easy to get their current talent so if they have to give up a bunch for a #1 center so be it. They can get a lot more 2nd -3rd line talent again, easily. |

Their 1st pick is at 6. They could get a better player than at 8. Plus if That was in the ballpark of what COL wanted I'm sure Feaster would have added a player and subtracted the last first rounder or something.IMO Colorado wants Jones at 2 and are trying to get FLA to give up a decent amount to move up 1 spot |

I guess I have never been the biggest Vanek fan, especially when he is the best player on the team. 57% of the games you barely notice him.

I think they consider Vanek an elite talent. If they dont why would you offer him 8 years 64 million? |
