1-"I can't hear you with the two stanley cup rings in my ears." Yes, Roy is quite the comedian.

2- Funny I actually think that Drouin is most likely candidate to fall in rankings due to his size. Not sure if I would want him if he were available at 7 even cause we are small enough already yet he would still be hard to pass up.

Ryan Hartman is apparently the most hated player to play against in this draft who can back it up with some skill.
Oilers need someone like that, make the opponent angry and get them off their game

Wrong on almost every pick except for the first one.

1. Mac
2. Panthers take Barkov.
3. Bolts take JD.
4. Nashville swaps picks with the Hurricanes who draft Jones.
5. Preds get another pick in the draft and choose Lindholm.
6. Flames take their future captain Monahan.
7. Oilers draft for need and take Ristolainen who will be a beast.
8. Sabres take Nichushkin as a sidekick to Grigo.
9. Devils take Shinkaruk.
10. Stars finish off the top 10 by grabbing Domi.

- therealagent

I say need because he is ready to play now. Stop talking about Klefbom who may never play. The defense is not stacked. Offensive top end is stacked. Defense not.

not bad. but I think clouts is right and the oilers take nichushkin. they've got 2 young prospect dmen who possibly aren't that far from making the team.

For some players size just isn't an issue, probably being small makes some players better, allows them to move around quicker, dangle better, shoot quicker.

our defensive prospect depth is much deeper than the offensive 'prospects'. this is a fact.

and clouts should stop pumping klefbom's tires cause he may never play in the nhl due to being an unproven prospect. but we should definetely take ristolainen cause he's sure to be a beast and star quality.....

Wow...I was just thinking what we needed was another RC blog today. The meds must be really working as he's just pumping them out!!

As for the Oilers drafting at 7th, if Nichushkin is available, then I think we're grabbing him. And I believe that we can send him down to the OKC since he hasn't played for any CHL teams. That is if we need to. But the idea of him on the same line as Yaks...

I would love it if Yakupov would be up there with Stu Mac. and MacT giving Nichushkin an Oilers jersey..probably the player with the most question marks in the top 20 but the one that excites me the most..

If Nurse and Ristolanain are both gone by 11, I'd love to see the Flyers take Fucale. One of these days they'll pick the right goalie....maybe.

He won't play in the AHL. It's the NHL or the KHL. No other options

Actually, he's right about that. Nichushkin is too young for the AHL. It's NHL or KHL, or bust.

The Jets seem to have this history of always wanting to add an offensive center, but they think they found their guy in human diving board Mark Scheifele.

If Drouin is available at number 7 MacT had better jump all over this guy. Clutch written all over him.

Did some youtube scouting, only two of Nischuskin goals were not dekes LOL. His skating and power is enticing but will he be able to go thru NHL defenseman like that? I do like how he drives the net.

Sounds/looks like Paajarvi a bit in terms of speed and driving the net:

That's actually incorrect, he is 18 already. He can play in the AHL because he is not a CHL player. See Girgensons from Buffalo.

He did say though it is NHL or back to Russia. He doesn't want to play in the CHL or AHL.

If Nurse and Ristolainen are both gone by 11, I'll be turning a none-too-complementary shade of green to go along with my jersey.

Richard, you've made me a very sad panda. This mock falls out terribly for the Flyers. If Nichushkin drops past 5, they should look into moving up for him. If he goes by then, they should lock in on Ristolainen, and if it looks like he's going, move up to get him.

No, he just wont play there.

""If he's not playing in the NHL, he's going to have to play for Dynamo," Nichushkin's agent, Mark Gandler, said. "The termination [of his contract] occurred without compensation to the team. [Returning to Dynamo if he isn't playing in the NHL] is what we would owe the team for that provision.""
