here's hoping, at least Toronto gives him a chance to play top line with Kessel. I have the feeling randy carlyle would love his 2 way game as well. you got to think montreal toronto and NYR will be the big contenders

He's like the best of both our centers. He can produce like Grabo, and then some, and has a better two way game and FO ability that Bozak will never achieve.

Win win in my opinion. 4 years 22 million seems like a fair contract.

Then get rid of Liles, Komisarek and Grabovski and hopefully sign Bozakon the cheap.

If not I'd sign Weiss for his two way play and offensive upside around 4.75 for a few years and let Kadri develop.

Yeah I'm just not interested in the dollars. Teams know how to make it work. I'm not convinced Letang goes anywhere unless someone is willing to cough up. Pittsburgh will make it work. You don't lose key YOUNG players that are part of your main core.

We as fans get way to caught up in cap space. IMO you see a player that makes you better that is available you go do it. It's why I don't give poop what they pay Clarkson. He is needed in this lineup.

I still not sure why Leafs didn't still do the Trade with Tampa then buy him out. We'd have the #3 pick.

I would like to think the chance to play with Kess and Lupes/JvR plus the chance to be THE guy again should, with decent contract offer, be enough to persuade him to come the the ACC

I am with you in that getting Letang on the team would be phenomenal... the downside would be of course the contract. For me, if you're venturing into the $7m+ range for a Dman, he better be great Defensively AND offensively. Letang has the latter down, but is prone to the occasional "Phaneuf" on the back end from time to time.

The main question is, do we have something the Pens would like (while not selling the farm/decimating our roster), and can Nonis then fit him into the roster with the cap. Luckily next year he still has the 3.75 cap hit, but his raise would eat up any increase in cap for 2014/2015, so you better like the rest of your roster at that point!

That's also when Kes and Dion will be looking to re-up...
