So 6 games makes him a star?

And no he wasn't better then anyone in his own end. Look the kid has done nothing to say you wouldn't include him in a deal for Letang who has done plenty.

- honesthockey

Yeah you forget the season before where he was our best Dman.

At 23, he was our best dman for the second half of the year and after coming back he was our best dman in the second half of the playoffs.

Sorry man, I don't trade a 23 year old Dman who has shown me that much for a guy who has proven he doesn't play much D ... but lives on all those points he gets by playing on that team.

You cannot put Gardiner anywhere near Reimer. One plays in the NHL the other doesn't.

Guess nobody told Jake he wasn't playing for the Calder cup this spring

No but you seemed pretty quick to write off Gardiner after 12 games this season? Just to remind you, my argument is still that I would rather see Phaneuf go before Gardiner.
- MapleLeafsFTW

Right and I think that's insane. We haven't seen enough from Gardiner to make that call. I'm not totally convinced he won't spend a lot of time in Carlyles doghouse.

he needs to hit the net first and when he does that, then pucks in the net they will go.
- dmnted

Amazing how difficult it seems to be for him.

Franson, on the other hand, gets incredible torgue on such a short wind-up.

That's a man made for the PP

But dude, the coach was playing him like 25 minutes in the playoffs, I thought you said that if Carlyle gives a guy lots of minutes he considers him a keeper? Did you miss the memo where Carlyle called him an elite offensive d-man?

Oh, and he's 22 not 23.

Sorry man you forget he was sent down last year. Wasn't anywhere near the best defensemen.

Letang can bang as well. Gardiner can't move my grandmother off the puck. They aren't in the same league.

You'll have to forgive him,

Mike Kostka was tearing it up at that point.

In fact Jake better watch out, I hear Kostka's planning on a comeback this fall

Is it ok the leafs be patient with their young players to see how they pan out instead ofalways trading prospects then regretting it. We complain we can never build properly but always want to trade our youngsters. We wanted kadri gone before this season

See if I still thought you were a sexy blond haired 35 year old lady who lives alone, you could have been going on a date with the big fat moronic drugee mayor of Toronto. Wouldn't that have been hilarious. You would show up on the blind date being a dude & I would show up as Rob Ford. Classic blind date

Boyd Gordon is unreal in the faceoff dot.
