23 to a D is like 21 to a forward. He also has less than a hundred games in the NHL and most of those games were with Wilson who isn't good at developing young players.

It wouldn't be straight up though. We would lose this years first and probably Phaneuf.

Not at all. Still Phaneufs fault. He'd just get a lot less scrutiny if he had a partner that could cover up his mistakes and save his ass. And having a partner that could do half the workload as well as reduce his minutes, and obviously making him play better with less mistakes would be nice.

Same skill set? (frank) if Gardiner played with 1/4 the toughness I'd be happy. Letang is 100 times better then Gardiner.
