42 points in 39 games. Wasn't bought out because he's a bum. 33 years old? Lots left.

Leafs should be all over him, but they'll have plenty of competition.

32 points but yeah, still capable, healthier than he has been in years. I would love to see Vinny centering our top line with Lupul and Kessel; just gives us a whole new dimension there up front and with JVR on the second line with a Horton/Clarkson/Clowe, gives us size and grit we haven't had in years in our top 6.

From what I read somewhere, Paul Ranger wants to stay close to home.

From what someone told me off the record, is that he had a severe mental setback when he had his Concussion/Shoulder Issue, and it caused some Traumatic issues with him, really scared him bad, wants to stay near family as much as he can, because it was his safety net and where he was comfortable.

Honestly, I think Kessel would do better with another goalscorer. The guy doesn't need someone passing him the puck... he's the puck carrier. It's his choice if he shoots or passes... and his passes are great.

nope - we want a guy who can score more when Kessel passes to HIM = Lecavalier.

Bozak too predictably dumped the puck to Kessel every time, and heeled it into the corner boards when Phil passed it back

you might be right, only based on the number of assists Kessel had this season, he fed JVR quire well on a few goals this season, whomever is the better skater between Richards and Lecavalier might end up really being the better fit..

I just don't think Lecavalier wants to be a leaf at all, just a feeling.
