MIN talking extension with Clutterbuck but also talking trade involving him. UFA P-M Bouchard won't be back; Matt Cullen probably not back.

Because he has a no-move clause in his contract, Lecavalier can and will reject going on waivers prior to buyout.

he is wrong.. if he is placed on unconditional waivers there is actually no reassignment.. so the NMC is moot

Leafs have about 12 million in cap space if they sign thier RFA's and buy out Komi and Liles

more tweaking will be needed if they hand Vinny 5-7

- senstroll

they have almost 20mil inspace now, buying out komi and liles adds over 7 mil. sign vinny for 5-7 and that leaves 20-22 mil to sign 5 fwrd and 4 d, and bernier.

Really hope Gards and Reilly aren't moved for Letang.

Just doesn't send the right message about developing talent.

We throw Jake away after his playoff performance?

And Reimer after he helped get us to game 7?

For Letang whose been there done that, I'd giveup Gardiner.

Reimer is still on the team and can easily play 30-50 games next season. We just don't know. Bernier, in the same set of circumstances.

I don't think Rielly would go. I wouldn't be surprised if Gardiner did though. I highly doubt the deal will happen so i wouldn't get to bothered about it.

Bob McKenzie reports the Penguins are close to signing Kunitz to a three-year extension with total value likely to be in the $11-12 million range.......

Smart player. Left money on the table knowing full well he's on a gravy train in Pittsburgh. Can't see how guys like Bozak and even Clarkson can ask for much more than that based on that precedent, but when money is involved logic usually goes out the window anyways.

Kunitz is always above 150 hits (has hit the 200 mark a couple times) and is consistently a 20 plus goal scorer.

Question: Does Tyler Biggs have a chance in hell at making the roster next year or does he need more time with the Marlies? What is he projected as right now? Just wondering as I haven't really kept tabs on his development so far.

I guess same question about Percy. What's up with him? Would either of them be reasonable trade bait or not worth anything?

Kunitz's deal begins with the 2014-15 season and runs through the 2016-17 campaign. It has an avg. annual value of $3.85 million. #Pens

Biggs eta is closer to 22 or 23.....Percy will likely follow the same path as say a Wiercioch in Ottawa. In both cases, neither development time is bad. Biggs will be in the AHL for most of this season I imagine.......don't want to see him get the Carter Ashton treatment.

Biggs needs time with the MArlies, as does percy. I wouldn't trade either right now. probably wouldn't get much for them, so no point in trying. Keep em and develop them.

With the sudden glut of centres on the market Bozak's simply not going to make quite the amount he thought he would.

I hope and pray that Nonis talks to Vinny asap. He can take over the first line center duties and mentor Kadri for several years. He'll come cheap and not at st 5 or 6 million per year. Then make a run for Clarkson. Come on Nonis!

Okay thanks for the Biggs/Percy replies. Kind of figured they would need more time, just not sure what we have in them. I'm all for developing them through the minors and not rushing guys though.

I can't imagine how he could possibly even get that now. 4 was too much before.

as Cokes said Kunitz just signed for a reasonable amount and guys like bozak and clarkson aren't at his level.

I'd say if Vinny goes to a hockey hot-bed it's MTL over TOR. Just my gut
