I dont understand why guys ask for so much. It hinders their team from signing other good players and then they won't win a cup.

yea, he should be the #1 target. On a short term deal, I don't even care how much they give him.


Big, physical #1 center, still capable of putting up big numbers. If it weren't for his age, he'd be the perfect fit.

My bet is he'll be right back with the Lightning after next season... he's just gonna sign a one-year deal with someone.


Maybe even a sign and trade, some team signs him and sends him back to Tampa for a 2nd or something.

The key is to have both on the same team, would instantly make one of the best pairings in the NHL.

The closest thing to Sundin we've had since he left, if we sign him. A top line of Lupul/Lecavalier/Kessel would be amazing.
