They always do

I'm not really sold we need letang anyways. Gardiner and farther down the line Reilly are both similar to Letang so raping our roster and paying big dollars for him now when our team is still a few years away anyways doesn't make any sense to me.

We need defensive defensemen, not more offensive ones.

Kessel, Lupul, JvR, Kadri (albeit he played a lot of time on 3rd line) I'd argue all be on MOST TEAM's Top 6. Kessel on almost everyone's Top 3.

I've tried breaking him down for info a few times but he doesnt talk about Hockey. Talking with his uncle, he was convinced Steven was going to sign short term and leave for Toronto first chance he got but that changed with the long term deal he signed.

Sorry,I'm a huge leaf fan but I'd rather spend my early and mid twenties in an area where you can drive your nice cars 12 months a year and visit the beach too. When I hit my 30's and want a family and settle down. Then I'll go to the leafs since my wife won't let me have anymore fun anyways.

Sorry,I'm a huge leaf fan but I'd rather spend my early and mid twenties in an area where you can drive your nice cars 12 months a year and visit the beach too. When I hit my 30's and want a family and settle down. Then I'll go to the leafs since my wife won't let me have anymore fun anyways.

the first 3 for sure. no question. kadri is debatable. let's see what he does in a full season but if he's anything like this year, he'll be your best player within 3 years.

Stastny is no Letang. I understand he has no term left but it will still cost us a nice package to acquire him. I know we can take the chance of waiting to acquire him as a ufa but for some reason I think that will back fire

Letang would cost more, however I still dont think we'd need Gards OR Reilly going the other way in either one.

I guess in a sense its actually the one true strength(PMD) we have and will have in the future. Its not essential we get Letang but if the price is right, even if expensive u dont give up the chance to acquire an elite norris candidate defenseman.

I agree, however, I still wouldn't give up a potential elite norris candidate to obtain one. If we waited three years or whatever and saw that Gardiner was good, but didnt turn out how we expected, we'd still have letang and Reilly to rely on and would be safe. I just dont wanna give up one. Until we have so many we can get a good something back to help a position we need. Like the Av's could do, since they're stock piling centers.

He would improve our powerplay and break outs but he's pretty average if not below average in his own end.

Since that was our biggest problem last year and previous years and offense has been relatively fine. Why break the bank to obtain another offensive d-man? Especially when we have 2 premium offensive d-men upcoming.

Just doesn't make a whole lotta sense to me.
