I wonder if it's been discussed that Toronto COULD (read, COULD) take on MAF's contract along with Letang, then use a buy-out on MAF? I feel like Pittsburgh would want a goalie, which I believe is one of Toronto's strengths. However, I don't see Nonis dealing either one of Reimer or Bernier, so maybe I'm just spit balling.

No, tomorrow the potential buyout candidates go on waivers....if they clear, then they can be bought out. But even so, I think we won't see most of the buyouts until at least Monday. GMs want to see what happens at the Draft before making their final decisions.

Look, I agree we are probably going to acquire a C for overpay, but it's probably not going to be Stastny. He's overpaid, and been declining in play the past couple of years. He's an interesting thought, but I don't think Nonis would want give up MUCH (this is probably different for many people, Nonis, You and I included). And really he's not going to get much playing time, with Duchene and O'Reilly going to be the #1 and #2 centers, and maybe MacKinnon joining the crew.
