I can't believe that after getting Letang, we'd be in a rush to trade Phaneuf. Wouldn't everyone be dying to see them on the same roster for at least a few games?

Yeah, I agree with the last part. It could be the best pairing Toronto has had since Kaberle and McCabe, and definitely better than them.

Statsny is almost a joke at this point. He's not close to a 1C

a) The rumoured cost of Phaneuf (plus? ) is waaaaay too high.

b) The cap hit is too high for him. If we can get the Avs to retain salary, then we can start to talk...

We have a crap load of defensive prospects and it's alreayd known the av's want liles back.

Give the av's a package of Liles, a good d prospect other than reilly or gardiner and a 2nd round draft pick for stastny.
