I'm gonna throw out a crazy idea. Maybe he is looking to upgrade over Nabby and that's why he is in no rush to sign him?
- Vukota

Lets hope this is the case and he doesn't start the mad scramble like he did before other seasons when we acquired the likes of Pandalfo and Rolston.

No shot of Snow going after Letang. It would cost too much in prospects and picks as well as actual cash to sign him. Not even sure why its being discussed
- Vukota

just thought that's what we did here I guess?

i think thats a bit of a generous comparison but well agree to disagree...
- LetsGoIsles

I'm talking about potential...not present comparisons..
Admittingly I haven't seen a whole lot of de Haan but from those who have seen him a lot, they tend to say he has elite talent but terrible luck. I don't think it would take a great dman to step into Letang's role and do the same thing in Pittsburgh

You've become real negative the last week or so. Did Kasper bite you or something?

I've noticed this as well, but he's better at supplying his reasoning. He's supposed to be thinking like you! Ironically you've been one of the more positive folks here lately. I'm not sure who any of you are anymore

I'll reserve judgement until after the feeding frenzy begins in a couple of days. Not expecting them to make huge moves but you would have to think a couple of solid moves are coming. At least that's what I hope

I'm taking the same approach. I don't expect a lot, but I definitely want to see an effort to find a decent goaltending option along with either a top pairing dman or top six forward. It doesn't have to be all of the above but at least a couple of options would be nice.

I've stayed very patient through this rebuild to the point that I've defended Snow more than seems instinctually correct, but if it all goes wrong and seems his effort is lacking, I'll be ready to unload on him

Of course they have the lowest ratings on radio in the NHL. That's what happens when your radio broadcast consists of college kids, two empty cans of soup and a long string.

Stop it everybody knows the budget calls for only 1 empty can of soup.

I heard WFAN might pick them up...the Isles got pretty good ratings when they were on FAN during the playoffs...Brooklyn is pushing to have them with the Nets...

Don't they already carry the Devils? Lots of games on the same night not sure how that can work out?

I would be ecstatic. Its funny, but I feel like i get stuck driving in the car when they're playing and because I don't get Radio Hofstra, I can't listen. It would be nice to have a radio broadcast option.

I'm not being negative at all actually I'm just hoping we aren't in the same boat like years past watching a hole we need filled stay empty bcs Snow is waiting to "see what happens" with other teams. I said I'd reserve judgement till then. I'm just being honest when I say I wouldn't be overly shocked if we went into camp with some conglomeration of goaltenders that don't seem realistic. I don't think anyone should be shocked looking at past history. I'd like to believe we've move passed that after the "success" of last season but I'm not so sure? Nabby going to FA worries me bcs he is the last option at the very least that I would've been ok with if he didn't sign anyone else. I have some faith Snow will do the right thing but perhaps not enough? Could you blame me?

Yeah, and only the 2,000 people in the spots on the Hofstra side of the building can actually hear the broadcast.

Exactly. I never expected much nor should anyone but you have to fill the void in net and a top four would be a very important addition that could further this team's growth. I've been saying this since the season ended for us. Nothing more nothing less. The question is will this be done?

Snow doesn't need to sign anyone in net, he's coming out of retirement and going back in......look out!!
