How tall/big was Kadri when drafted? Considering he's now 6'0 and 188 pounds?

5'11 at 18, midget!

6'0 at 22, GIANT BEAST!

haha, Admittedly I don't know much about the player, nor do I know much about Gauthier that Craig Button has the Leafs taking at 21, I try to look at video instead of just the stats, but from what I saw he is a competitive player.

My point was the Leafs for whatever reason rarely if at all go to the QMJHL for later picks, it is always, NCAA or Europe, have no idea why they never take a chance from that league.

Leafs need centres badly in the organization.

The Q is the least scouted league for the Leafs, is my guess.

Figures you pick Carrier for your boys. I told you Oilers take him at 37. Then take a goalie at 56....

The Toronto Maple Leafs select Right Winger Marc-Olivier Roy of the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in the QMJHL.

Just what the Leafs need a 5’11 164lb ragdoll plus when was the last time the Leafs went to the QMJHL for a draft pick? You have to go 2008, Mikhail Stefanovich & Joel Champagne and only 4 picks in the last 10 years from that league, so history dictates they will not go there again especially 2nd round and beyond, they rarely do.

Sorry Frenchie, don't agree with you at all on this one, he is not what the Leafs need at that pick range.

- LeafMan

Leafs have been one of the teams who picks the most in the 'Q, historically, along with the Habs, the Sabres, the Bruins and the Flyers.

This is a ridiculously outdated line of thinking, you'd think that with the last 3 memorial cups going to the Q that people would start to wake up, but I guess there's just too many Don Cherry's in the world who never change their opinions.

The Q has come a long way in the last 10-15 years.

Only top ten picks, you say?

What about Claude Giroux? Kris Letang? Danny Briere? Jakub Voracek? Corey Crawford? Simon Gagne? Johnny Oduya? Patrice Bergeron? Brad Marchand? Brad Richards? Keith Yandle? Ryan Clowe? Ondrej Pavalec? Francois Beauchemin? Alex Radulov? Mike Ribeiro? David Perron? Antoine Vermette? Marc-Edouard Vlasic? Micheal Frolik? Alex Burrows? Pascal Dupuis? Zybnek Michalek? Jason Pominville? Radim Vrbata? Matt Lombardi? Derek Brassard? Patrice Brisebois? Dmitri Kulikov? Ales Hemsky? Jiri Fischer? Luc Robitaille? Micheal Ryder? Martin Gelinas? Maxime Talbot? Steve Begin?

...seems like a few decent players to me, but I won't spend all day researching just to embarass one statement made out of ignorance. Just know that in 5 years there'll be as many if not more players in the NHL out of the Q than the WHL.

- TommyDeVito

If you want me to create a list from whl or ohl from the past 5 years that are impact players in the nhl that would trump your list that you had to go back 15 years for. I'd be happy too. I didn't say nobody ever good comes out of the Q. I said the game just doesn't translate. There are exceptions. Good players do come from the Q. Look at macKinnon, drouin, Crosby! To name a few.

His stock rose a f-ing ton thanks to the u-18 tournament. Some had mocked him up in the 4 or 5th round. I see now people want him in the second
