It's hard to compare. I still remember me and the dozen or so friends I was with in 2010...all fans since we were knee high tearing up when Toews hoisted the cup....never forget that moment because there were so many years of bad.....and feeling we will never win it. This was more of a surprise....no one thought at the beginning of the year we had a chance especially with the lack of any real transaction. The streak surprised all of us...then the presidents trophy...then the Detroit series....I just kept thinking...man I don't want to be like Vancouver......

Heard some people say its like trying to pick which kid you love more. 2010 was special, for sure and has its place. People like my old man who grew up riding the L to the stadium...that was for him. This was probably more special for me, because it was totally unexpected and it was great to see our guys like Toews and Kane mature into men.

The HNIC G3 intro one of my faves even though it's slanted Boston cuz they won G2....HNIC had been after Neil Young for years apparently and he finally consented to allow use of one of his tunes.

I rest my case about Hull. Stalberg, good riddance you greedy POS!

I have no idea what you're b!tchin' about. Hawks won the cup 2 days ago, and the hostility is already back.

All the Hawks better watch their backs, the knives will be out very soon.

I have no problem with stalbergs departure ...I wish we could get a gritty forward that can play every game ....some more grit beside Shaw someone who isn't 5'9" 180...someone like Zach Smith

Both Cups were amazing. The 1st one was the 1st in almost 50 years. Great to finally win it. Thank you 80's oilers plus that team was so special with skill, grit, and chemistry. With the 2nd cup, first my birthday was june 24th so it was the best damn gift I ever got and winning 2 titles means something. Not a dynasty yet but a lot of teams are 1 and done but winning 2 in 4 years means you have one great core and team

Likely unfair dig at Vic.

Keith ($89) , Hossa, & Shaw are all appearing there, and getting more $ per "autograph"
Kruger is the same as Stalberg.
I'm guessing the players get an appearance fee, and the autograph& picture fees being charged are going to the Marketing company.

Now that we know Andrew Ference is not a Bruin next season, could you see him as a Blackhawk JJ?

Fixed

But seriously, what did Viktor Stalberg ever do that deserved such a garbage shot. At worst he didn't develop into a "great" forward, and at his best he busted his ass and contributed 24, 43 and 23 points annually the prior 3 years. Personally, I found him to be an entertaining player with incredible speed.

Best of luck to him.

Without stepping on JJ's toes...I say not likely. Ference will likely command around 3M and the Hawks couldn't afford that without significant player/contract movement out.

Are the Hawks going to offer Rosival another contract? What will Leddy's new contract look like, or do they move him?

The next 2 weeks should prove interesting.

Yes I know. But let say Bolland will be moved for draft pick(s) or prospects and they buyout Rusty and Monty. Bicks singed around 3 million per year, Leddy 2 and Kruger 1,5..it could look like something like this - per cap geek:

FORWARDS
Brandon Saad ($0.894m) / Jonathan Toews ($6.300m) / Patrick Kane ($6.300m)
Jeremy Morin ($0.887m) / Patrick Sharp ($5.900m) / Marian Hossa ($5.275m)
Bryan Bickell ($3.250m) / Andrew Shaw ($0.578m) / Ben Smith ($0.563m)
Daniel Carcillo ($0.825m) / Marcus Kruger ($1.500m) / Michael Frolik ($2.333m)
Brandon Bollig ($0.575m) /

Brent Seabrook ($5.800m) / Duncan Keith ($5.538m)

Antti Raanta ($1.400m)

I like your salary/production projections Burgy

I'd be happy if delivers 30-50 points (if given top line minutes for large stretches) while also delivering 100-150 hits....and brings the same playoff effort he brought....just hope he isn't greedy.

- philco28

If Bickell pots 9 goals, 17 pts, and 85 hits every playoffs I could give two phucks what he does in the regular season and he will have earned every red cent he gets in the next contract.
