How do you not love Paul Holmgren with a reaction like that? He jumps the gun with deals but he is also no nonsense. At least on some level he keeps us wondering as an aggressive GM.

True. I found the entire thing amusing. Holmgren showed class and restraint. Barkann is a tool, but that was pretty clever. And unfortunately fits the pattern of what is going on.

I would change it up in a heartbeat. We have had plenty of success on the PP over the past number of years.

i dunno, for whatever barkann is or how he's expressed his opinion in the past, it's his style to inject levity into a situation. i think the bias people here have against the local media has left them jaded to the point of being humorless.

iow, sometimes we have to lighten up.
tough day for homer, but he might want to try it on for size himself.

The bias is well deserved. What Barkann did there was he embarassed the GM. It was incredibly unprofessional. And was absolutely a dig against the Flyers goaltending issues. Hence why Holmgren had the look he had.

Just seemed like a joke that didn't work. No big deal. Just watched John Smallwood making Timmy P sound like a genius on Barkans show.
