Well, if Friedman is right, that trade won't include Couturier.
- dilbert719

Milton Friedman? Yeah, he and Ayn were buddies.

I still think they need to rely on Coburn more offensively. He is a big guy, with a big shot, and someone I love having on the point. I wish they'd work the crap out of his O-game.
- Flyersgod

They tried that last Season. It was a mistake. Coburn needs to be placed in a defensive role and left there.

Coburn + 41st wouldnt get us a top-15 pick ?
- MrBigglesworth

Maybe. I'm not sold it would. I see people saying that Coburn & the 11th pick could get them Carolina's pick, and I don't see it.

Coburn is a solid top 4 guy, who needs to play with a solid partner. His cap hit is fair, and he's got a lot of physical tools. But he also struggles with consistency and is coming off not only a down season, but also an injury

He needs a defensive role with a responsible partner.

They're sooooo taking Alex Wennberg... he's Swedish Mike Richards.... which I guess, is kind of like Peter Forsberg... which I guess is kind of like Bob Clarke.

Stomping all over my hopes and dreams and it's not even noon yet...

And I'm not quite sure how you got to Clarkie there, but I like it!

I read Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, We the Living, etc. Liked them all, and there were definitely interesting/thought-provoking (and questionable) ideas and concepts throughout. It just never went any further than that for me. It never occurred to me to view Rand's fictional works as anything more than that.
- wolfhounds

I wish she would have written them in Russian and had them translated because I struggle with her dialogues.

Atlas Shrugged was a great, great book. The first movie was ok, but the 2nd movie was the worst movie I've ever watched in my entire life. Terrible acting etc.

She has a great message, a great idea, but was attacked ruthlessly for it.

I'd let her be our goaltender on the Flyers.

What would you guys give up for Anderson, Great contract and good term no need to take on Luongo type contract.

I like Anderson, but that's too much to give up with the numerous other options/needs of the Flyers.

Mike Gillis said yesterday on Team1040 (Vancouver AM sports radio) that they're not buying out Lu, now I know they aren't truthful with their inner dealings 99% of the time. But I fully believe him on this one. That said, Cory Schneider @ $4 million per to the Flyers is a heck of a good deal for one of B. Schenn or Couturier, wouldn't you agree?
- LeftCoaster

my reliable vancouver source told me the same thing yesterday. no buyout. waivers or eating salary if he gets moved.

That's good stuff. I'd be ecstatic if Monahan dropped to the Flyers. No way in the world that he should get past the Devils at worst
