I am well aware of the dire situation we are in at Center. Well aware. Mac T had better get this spot filled, in fact I think it should be his top priority. Hopefully free agency can bring us Boyd Gordon. I dont want Bozak. Maybe, he can get lucky with the Hemsky trade,though I'm not holding my breath.I have no idea. I just think Belanger has failed to deliver on his reputation in each of the 2 years he has been here.
If the best we can muster is Belanger in any of the top 3 C spots on opening night I will do more than just throw up a bit in my mouth.

The fact that he won't go to the AHL to develop the NA game is a huge turn off. I say he fleas to RUS early in his career

Exactly and that is why I would take Nurse or Ristolanen before I would take a Russian with an attitude. The only reason I would consider Nichushkin is because of Yakupov and Belov. Ultimately the Oiler scouts who scouted Nichushikin have to make the call as to how nhl ready he is. Is he as good as Nail?? If he is maybe go for him. It is like hitting a homerun or striking out if you ask me.

TSN has him at 8, so it wouldn't be unlikely. Definitely a drop off in talent from Nichushkin to Ristolainen, but also a lot more risk involved. Also D is a bigger need than more scoring wingers

Based on his junior heroics you can't trade him until you know what he does in the nhl playoffs. Why is everyone talking about Couture and Eberle. Both players are loved by each of their respective teams. It makes no sense.

Why is Couture a douche?

I can tell you some stories about Eberle being a complete bumhole to kids who up to him for autographs at my work and him blowing them off. He then found out the kids mom was hot and chatted her up.

Well he was incredibly nice to my cousins kids. They were visiting Edmonton and they ran into him in a park. My cousin is one ugly (frank)er too, so he wasn't treating them nice to get in her pants, I can assure you that! And there was nobody else around either, so he wasn't doing it for publicity.

I'm so glad he's done in EDM. MacT seems to know his stuff and is actually interested in improving the team.
CHI got Handzus for a 4th.
EDM got Smithson for a 4th.

Handzus scored at .5PPG aiding CHI in winning the cup. Smithson played 10 poor games for EDM aiding them in a 7th last finish
