waw.....cry me a river..
it's hard not to be anti-Canuck - meduser
Again, being honest here.... it is off-the cuff meaningless and hurtful posters like youo who have destroyed this site as being a legitimate place to talk hockey.
Ek, I'm going to risk a ban here but I have to tell you how I really feel. Every time you bring up a Loungo you do so in such a way that seems to hurt Vancouver. At first you drop hints that he had multiple teams looking at him--- no one, in Vancouver at least--- thought that was true. Then you claim that many teams wanted him but we're going to screw the Canucks by waiting for them to buy him out. Agains only serve to hurt Vancouver. I do not believe for a second that you actually have sources in Gillis' s inner circle and perhaps you get thing second hand fom other cities I don't know but for now they're saying that Philadelphia has gotten rid of their goalie will acquire Lou, not by trade, seems to be highly pro Philadelphia an anti Canuck.
Maybe I gave you too much credit thinking that what you write can in turn influence other reporters who will continue to report your story and thus making it sound more feasible. - Beatle_john
Dude, you have 47 thousand dollars in cap space left and have only 17 players signed. You have less than 2 days before buyouts. Gillis ain't dealing from a position of power here.
We bought out our insane goalie contract. Man up and take responsibility for your own ludicrous goalie contracts.
My god you hockey experts are stupid. Vancouver will not pony up 64 million or whatever. Just like Dreger said on TSN vancouver will put him on waivers. That's how philly gets no trade. How did noone think of that - woolley
It tells me the dumb GM is going to buy him out. He could have sent him to Toronto for some assets, but thought he could do better. It's moves like this that lead me to believe Vancouver's GM is an idiot. Then again, I'm fine with Luongo going to Philly. Have no problem with this whatsoever. We know his issues in the play-offs. - Oneonta Penguin
Is this a Pens fan talking about playoff goalie issues? Yes, Luongo isn't perfect - he's made a Fleury of errors before. But he also won Olympic Gold 3 years ago.

I posted this already. - jake24242
congrats.
did u consider that it still doesn't make sense because your explanation doesn't consider the fact that a bunch of teams would have priority over philly?
your contention is that ek's spoken to all of said franchises and they've assured him theyre gonna leave him for philly?

Seriously? Well we don't mean to hurt your feelings, but Mr. Gillis put himself into this position. It's not going to end well. Don't you think we'd have liked to trade Bryzgalov instead of buying him out? Nobody wants him for the contract he signed with us. Speaking hockey trades, supply and demand there are more goalies then places that actually want them. We disagree that Ek is trying to saboatage the situation, I think everyone is well aware that Luongo is going to have to get bought out.
