jones tries hard, but he's his skill level is low. watching him last year, im almost shocked that he was able to get 18 goals 2 years back.

glencross is a WAYY stronger skater. he`s got a far better shot too. and is at least as physical. glencross can ostensibly play on the first line adequately. anyone of the 4 to be honest. the same cannot be said of jones.
love to have glenx on this team. and he`s signed at a very reasonable rate.

im not hatin though. jones has some character and works hard. under the right circumstances and depending on the dollars, id certainly consider resigning him.

im also definitely interested in clowe.
and with Berglund agreeing to that cheaper 1 year contract and depending on the other 2 rfa`s, im sure they'll be able to afford to keep stewart

Ryan Smyth never had much skill either, but he knew how to be effective.

I was going to add more, but I have a business proposal in my inbox.

I'd be curious how much Ilya brought in because of his craziness during post game interviews.

Except for Miller and Louongo
- Byfuglien Ate Me

Even they're questionable based on last season's performance where Dubey have a better sv% and GAA he was 2.57 compared to Lou's 2.56 and Miller's 2.81. Either way I'd still rather have Dubnyk as my started any day of the week. His stats with the amount of shots he faced (6th in the league for saves) and one of the worst defences in the NHL are far above average

I don't understand the reference in relation to what I said. I didn't say jones was useless.

Clouts: ' I'll be shocked if the Oilers make a deal with week that involves one of the 10 players I named or their 1st round pick'

i'll be equally as shocked. but, i won't be shocked if, by the end of this year, they come to the conclusion that they need to move one of these 11.

Flyers and Oilers are not ideal trading partners.

If the Flyers are putting together a package, they'll be trading Read + Coburn + Next years 1st for a top pairing dman.

probably not.

and we'll most likely be using our firsts, prospects, prv etc etc and attempt to acquire the same thing

Regardless of what the flyers do they have to shed some cap, even with the bryz and briere buyouts they are still pretty tight. on top of that, Holmgren isn't exactly what youd call "predictable"

Arent you all going to look sad if clouts proves to be bang on with the Horcoff buyout??? That would place him in a tie with ek for actual rumors that came to fruition...

Morris,

Hate to pump your tires too much dude, but I really like this on paper. Now what are the odds that the Radish could pull a coup like this off?

Posted this a while back:

Three Reasons why Cloutier can celebrate his wisdom if Shawn Horcoff is bought out
1) He accurately predicted that Shawn Horcoff would be bought out, and said it would happen via compliance as early as when the lockout ended.
2) He re-iterated his prediction after Stauffer's interview even after assurances that he was reading too much into it.
3) He made some remarks about the fact that Horcoff exemplified the "losing culture", which appears to be the public reason for the buyout.

Three reasons why Cloutier can't celebrate his wisdom if Shawn Horcoff is bought out.
1) This won't be the first season that he's predicted Horcoff is gone. Too many called shots.
2) You can't not know why someone is calling a press conference AND call yourself a god if it turns out to be something you had guessed. No confidence in his prediction. (this was when he thought the Krueger presser was about Horcoff)
3) He was always unclear in the time frame whether Horcoff would be bought out BEFORE or AFTER a replacement is found. This is a crucial part of the prediction.

not at all. he's even flip flopped on that as to when.

if he predicts even one trade, ill give him props. but to say he correctly called something that was inevitable at some point anyways, is kinda laughable
