I can't wait for the poopstorm if he trades down and takes two forwards in the first round

Or stays at #11 and goes all Craig Button.

Can the Flyers buy or trade for anther compliance buyout?

They can use it on Streit!!!

- jimmc7722

CBOs can only be used on contracts signed before the lockout.

I learned a lesson here: Most people who post here are rational, human. Make mistakes. I just made one, and owned it.

I have never heard anyone say they want someone fired because they don't like him. I had not seen that on the Flyers' board before, with regard to coaching. Not quite like that.

So, my apologies to all for being baited into it, making an error. Ignoring negativity is something I just need to get better at.

If they traded down to 19, I could live with Morin, because it's likely that Pulock, Ristolainen, Nurse, Zadorov and Morrissey would be gone and they'd have additional picks.

I was kind of surprised that the TSN McKenzie ranking had Morin at 15.

they seem to be attempting to build cohesion, imo. Refused to trade top young guys for Weber and Bernier. Hung onto their young assests by singing Streit.

edit: sticking with lavy seems to speak to cohesion too.. rather than having everything start over with a new system

All I gotta say is I'm sailing on the Pulock/Risto yacht.

Praying for one of those 2.

Ha! Really, what I am is just one of those guys who can't sit here and fault a team for doing everything possible to try to win.

Yeah, it is misery seeing them change direction so often. It has likely cost them a Cup along the way.

But at the same time...man, we can say many things about Ed Snider. But one thing that can't be said is that he doesn't care about winning. He cares as much as any owner, in any sport, I've ever seen.

There are so many teams out there who wish they had that. The Flyers have won so many games. They have been damn unlucky to not win a Cup.

I remain excited every season, even if I don't agree with what they've done, because I do know one thing: They are burning to win. Absolutely, positively burning.

As a fan...I can't honestly say that the Flyers have ever cheated me on that.

Here's how I break it down...

If the Flyers stay at #11

Not going to happen:

Drouin
MacKinnon
Jones
Barkov
------------

Would have to take as BPA if they fell:

Nichushkin
Lindholm
Monahan
-------------

The kill zone (one or more of these guys should be there at #11 -- I'd be pretty happy with either one of them):
------------
Nurse
Zadorov
Pulock
Morrissey
Shinkaruk
------------

Trade down scenario/2nd rd hopefuls:

Ristolainen
Bo Horvat
Shea Theodore
Samuel Morin
Hagg
Fucale

In all seriousness, Morin has achieved quite a rise in the prospect rankings. I would be absolutely shocked if they chose Ristolainen. The Flyers just don't draft prospects playing in Europe in the first round. They seem very comfortable drafting prospects from the OHL and QMJHL.
