yup
- Jsaquella

so for RFAs, the team offers a qualifying offer and the player can decide if they want a one year or two year deal?

Do I have this right?

That's just it -- they'll go BPA and it's hard to say who they might consider that at number 10. My gut feeling says it it will be a forward.
- bmeltzer

Good to know. I'm hoping they go forward and dont snag the D man we may want right from us.

It's hard to predict right now. The forwards look to be better, but we may see a run on defense, like last year.

Not a fan, especially at the money.

He only has one year left at 6 mil. If we got miller/ loungo after their boughtout or whatever I wouldn't mind or Want to pay more than 5 mil for maybe 3 years. I'd rather go tHose routes than emery/nabby/hiller etc... We'd have a set set starter with miller/loungo and mason could just work on his game

On cap geek.....i traded pronger away.....with streit we have 9m of cap space.....does that sound right?

Roster Size 22
Salary Cap-----$64,300,000
Salary Cap Payroll-----$58,186,508
Bonuses-------$2,960,000
Salary Cap Space------$9,073,492

We can't include the Bonuses can we?

- huks99

9m will not go as far as some think, if we sign gagne at 2m per a goalie at 3-4m per....all of a sudden we have 3-4m remaining with no other changes

Not 100% sure. The only thing I am positive of, without diving into the CBA, is a QO has to be a 10% raise to retain rights. Looking at capgeek, he got more than a 10% raise, so it probably wasn't a simple QO

You think he'd jump at a chance to make less? Mason will need to play to work on his game.

I'm very open to Luongo if he gets bought out, but who knows if that happens? I'd also ask Ottawa if they would listen to offers for Anderson, although he'd probably be costly

Just a thought... I wonder if when a road team wins the cup and destroys their locker room ( sure there's damage and champagne everywhere) if the home team sends That's cup winning tEam a bill for the cleanup and whatnot?

Not a Q offer. Simply a one year SPC.

A lot of times, at least recently, I've seen teams put up plastic before the celebration started in the room

They probably won't, but definitely should. It's great that they have the desire to win and the passion to win...The Bryzgalov saga shows us that that sort of passion can really create massive issues.

They will be paying a guy $23mm over 14 years to not play hockey for them. They were overaggressive and bid against their own interests.

I'd think miller/loungo both would be taking a slight paycut but market is in teams favor. Only a few teams need a starter and there are a ton of goalie options This year. Both are getting older and would be smart to not be choosy like when biron left Philly. I think miller/loungo would both like to come to Philly for a few years. Team is young and talented and they know Philly pushes to win cup. I'd be happy with Lou too under this scenario. Your right, trying to get someone like Anderson or halak or something going to be too expensive.

I have had generally good luck, though. Most jerseys I get, guy is good for 5 or 6 years....unless I get a 2nd jersey of the same guy.

I just figured it out. I need to buy me two Gervais jerseys tonight
