FORWARDS
Scott Hartnell ($4.750m) / Claude Giroux ($3.750m) / Jakub Voracek ($4.250m)
Tye McGinn ($0.775m) / Danny Briere ($6.500m) / Wayne Simmonds ($3.975m)
Jay Rosehill ($0.675m) / Maxime Talbot ($1.750m) / Matt Read ($0.900m)
Zac Rinaldo ($0.750m) / Scott Laughton ($1.107m) / Jason Akeson ($0.900m)
DEFENSEMEN
Kimmo Timonen ($6.000m) / Shea Weber ($7.857m)
Andrej Meszaros ($4.000m) / Braydon Coburn ($4.500m)
Nicklas Grossmann ($3.500m) / Luke Schenn ($3.600m)
Marc-Andre Bourdon ($0.613m) / Bruno Gervais ($0.825m)
GOALTENDERS
Ilya Bryzgalov ($5.667m)
Steve Mason ($1.500m)

That'd be fun to watch, can fill offensive holes without assets you'd of given away for Weber. Great player but unless he can keep the opposition to a goal or two a game you're going to have a pretty rough season.

EDIT: Forgot to mention they'd be 3 mil over the cap too

- Hype97

Also, I'm not sure why Jay Rosehill is on the 3rd line and Akeson is with the grinders.

That forward corp is depressing. Rosehill on the 3rd line and no choice but to play Akeson and to have Mcginn in the top 6? Glad we didn't go that route.

Because the only player Leino ever had chemistry with we just bought out.
- FlyersGrace

Leino had an interesting mix of skills when he was here. Was sorry to see him go, but he get big time $$ from Buffalo. Was glad the Flyers didn't try to match that.

Again, I'd only want him around at a deep discount.

That'll fix everything...Good point

I didn't bother editing the 3rd and 4th lines bc they were awful either way and that was my point.

I just removed the players he'd give up and the ones that wouldn't have been added due to Weber signing.

We all need to forget Shea Weber now. He's signed to a horrible contract, especially with the new CBA.

Martin was actually one of Pittsburgh's better defensemen last year. Also, Dallas just reupped Lehtonen last year, so I don't see him getting bought out.
If Brian Campbell is bought out, I'd like to go after him.

These buyouts sure to make UFA much more interesting. Some decent names on that list if that happens.

Agreed, they threw the bank at him, failed, and Nashville saved them from themselves.

Again...Awesome player but that's pretty irrelevant when you field 2.5 AHL lines in from of him....Can't play all 60 mins either

I was hesitant of adding Lehtonen to the list. On the other hand, I think the Pens will let Paul Martin lose to keep Letang.

I'm just glad it's done. Time to move on, get excited about the draft and free agency. The Flyers, if things go relatively well with player development, drafting and free agency, should be a legitimate contender not next year, but the year after. Two years from now, they should be right there.

If things go well, which I have faith that they will.

Still think the defense is a concern. Hopefully they can put it together next year.

And if they choose to let Martin go to keep Letang, they'll be able to trade Martin based on his play last year. He only has 2 years remaining and was solid last season even for 5 mil/season.

yeah, martin wont be bought out. however, there are some names on there that would shock me if they were cut loose.
