I'd say that's pretty decent. I'm not sure how I feel about Forsberg(doubt he would be moved) but you never know what can happen in this game. Having talent at any and everyposition can't be wrong. I wouldn't mind leaving Jeffrey out and taking Sissons.
Klein could step in and play fairly well for us. I prefer Josi but he's not bad.
Barkov? No brainer. 3rd or 4th is where I see him going because Tampa could go slightly off the board. You can't pass on his talent. |

They ain't trading Josi. I have a bad feeling if Letang goes to Nashville, we end up with something like the fourth overall pick, Ryan Ellis or Victor Bartley and Austin Watson.

I don't have high hopes for that. I just prefer him slightly more than Klein. Both have tremendously team friendly deals. Ellis? Meh.
I don't know---I'm sure there are a lot of options but I wouldn't be upset with Bartley and Watson as long they take Engelland.
We'd get that HUGE pick though which could be awesome. Think of the possibilities!!!

I'm not sure Nashville would want two huge contracts on the back end. |

My deal with Nashville would be Letang for the 4th overall pick, Klein, and Budish.

He is the type of winger the Pens dont have in their system (not that they have very much in their system). A big, physical guy who has a scoring touch. Plus, that deal seems feasible. |

I don't know you guys but I'd like to get an already established winger but still under 25 on a deal for Letang....a d-man and a prospect or pick |

With the Nashville deal, that 4th pick is probably either Barkov or Drouin, both of whom will probably play this coming season. Plus you get an established, top 4 guy with an extremely friendly cap hit and a winger prospect who may be a year or 2 away, but has potential to be a good power forward. |

Hey guys what do you think of Larsson as a defenseman? He has some great wheels and can be physical too. |

Are you talking about OEL from Phoenix?? Great player, may one day be the best 2 way defenseman in the NHL. |

cap, taking aside the fact the Poile is friend's with Shero, do you think Nashville would trade two big pieces of their mini rebuild in Forsberg and probably Barkov for Letang, who's already 26? I thought they were trying to get young and build from there. Erat is gone..Sullivan was gone.
If they do a trade like that with us, I'd say it's a big mistake. |

Absolutely. Could be a possible option. Young and physical guy. He is sort of in that Kunitz mold from what I've seen. |

I agree. I feel Edmonton may match up better but it may not stop Nashville from being involved. Losing Suter hurt them. I'm sure the thought of putting Letang with Weber is a lingering one. |

Bringing in a Norris caliber offensive defenseman who is still young to play with your norris caliber defensive defenseman is intriguing. Letang playing with Weber would allow him to take more chances in the offensive zone. The big loss would be the 4th pick. Forsberg would not be on the table. |

For sure. More of a match than Montreal...Come on Ek! A defenseman and a pick would clearly be our priority. Watson or Budish would be acceptable throw-ins I think.
I still like 1st/Smid/Paajarvi or another forward prospect from Edmonton though.

I said that trade about 2 weeks ago as seeming like the most likely. I'd consider Petry as well. I'm not sold on Paajarvi though. |

Paajarvi would be someone that would flourish in our system. He's just been pushed down in Edmonton's lineup. He could grow to be someone under control for a cheap price. Young, talented and has good size. I have heard some things about Petry. None good. |

if we get Edmonton's pick I'd probably go for Elias Lindholm. He looks like the real deal. Very good two-way forward with skills. |

Sooooooooo many forwards. Shero would probably take Nurse or Ristolainen.
Lindholm, Nichushkin or if at all possible Barkov.
If we somehow got a late 1st round pick I'd say Mantha or Erne. |

My head says that IF Shero trades Letang, it will be to Edmonton. The trade I WANT is to Nashville, because the thought of getting Barkov is exciting. |
