As much as i love Girgensons... I think he needs at least half a year in the AHL as well.... Maybe he comes up at the deadline when we trade off a Vanek or Ott?

IMO, it will be depressing if Vanek and Miller are still on this team. I want full youth movement. Let the young guys play. If they lose in the beginning so be it. At least they will get to go up against the best, and see what it takes to be the best.

And to top it off they will finish 19th O/A with a big second half push.

Until they start looking out of place and overwhelmed. Then we start complaining that they are busts and that Darcy can't draft and that we are going nowhere...and the circle comes back around.

Other way around.

Redden and Gomez had to clear waivers before they were bought out. You cant claim a player who doesnt have a contract anymore.

but that would just be plain stupid.. he is being bought out.. you want to pay him 6.25 Mil for the rest of his contract or whatever it is.. when you could possibly just sign him to a 2 year deal for 3 mil 5 days later..
