Your argument is poor. Backstrom signing the way he did is a sign of the goalie market... it's a bit flooded. miller, luongo, bryz, smith, maybe fasth/hiller, kari L possibly, tim thomas possibly, nabokov... the list goes on and on. now miller may be the best of the bunch... 50/50 between him and luongo. but leafs underpayment for bernier shows the market. who would you rather have... a high potential goalie at a decent price, or a know, good goalie who is overpriced in this cap year and has little left on his contract. Miller might be a good pickup for certain teams, but don't expect a bidding war for the gentleman. 1st round pick and decent prospect or mid tier roster player is all I see. Not to mention the cap relief the sabres get. hey... maybe they'll even throw in 500,000 in cap space

I think hed deserve a better deal then Bernier, ill go with proven over potential.

One of those teams in the 20's who are a goalie away will be the trading partner. I dont see a phi/NJ going out to grab him
