Although he hasn't been putting up that many points, I'd still take Toews over Kane any day of the week. He's been solid defensively all playoffs long and leads by example. Huge heart, tenacity and a winning attitude = Toews
- Zogg

Good point. Being the goalie I am I still pull for crawford though. hes had a tough go but has been doing great when called upon

Backstrom reportedly has resigned with the Wild....

Goalie market is shrinking

This is a good thing for the Sabres and the Wild.

Ah, how quickly we forget that hat-trick he had to send the Blackhawks to the Cup Finals! I'm not much of a Kane guy, but the kid is one of the most talented players in the game. He has been a bit of a disappearing act at times, but the reality is, when they've needed him the most, he's delivered in spades.

He owns Game 5's and Game 6's in his career.

They dont really have the goods to land a top goalie. IF they all of a sudden traded Glandlund for someone id be a lil miffed that we couldnt have gotten him

I hope your info earlier was missing a major piece... Nino, nelson, strome, or a 1st must be involved...

Any more on staff to the stars?

Staff and ennis for eriksson .... Wishful thinking

Granland, Dumba, Coyle - i would guess one of those three would be needed to be included to land a top goalie if i was the opposing gm.

so good for them to keep their best prospects and longtime goalie. hopefully it will work out for them. helps teams who wanted him or bernier focus on miller

What about Kane or Crawford though? Toews really has been there past two games more so than anything else all playoffs
- Beezer33

Kane has been good, got some rebound goals. Crawfords glove side has been bad. IMO chicago goes with toews, when he plays his game hes effective regardless if he scores. Hes the only guy on chicago that can beat bergy and krejci in the circle.

Yeah that offer is pathetic, to be honest. Pretty sure Nill would have to be placed in a mental hospital if he took that.

My last idea of what I had hoped a possible deal was:

Vanek and a 2nd for Okposo a 1st and Nino. - this is what I personally want.

the vanek and a 3rd for okposo and a 2nd are just the framework of what both gms would like, not that the deal would happen like that which why i can see people misread.

staff ennis and a 2nd is a maybe to no. what I hear is ruff is analyzing roster with nill looking which places are replacable and not. I do not see eriksson moving currently. fiddler is his hecht i think. whitney is trade bait even with his NMC and they need to bring up some youngsters to help out immediately along with FA. See mayson raymond and stalberg for details

Just because Pat Kane once played at caz rinks does not mean you need to worship the ground in which he walks... or drunkingly stumbles upon for that matter

]Framework....

Miller, stafford, and sekera

For

Bogosian (rfa), burmi (rfa), and their 13th overall.

Maybe we kick in a 2nd or adam or something

Just waiting for the Backstrom post telling us how Millers trade value just got sicker since a 35 year old marginal goalie dropped off the market.

He is like a statue and barely moves. I agree on the drop and block method. Not my favorite either but i felt bad for him getting ripped apart by media. feel worse for reimer haha.

i wish i could watch patrick roy playing again. favorite goalie of all time right there

i actually enjoyed when Vokoun went in for MAF. Still plenty of old school in his game. once marty hangs em up we may never see that again...

Give it to seabrook!! the guy has been a better leader than towes and is clutch enough to get the overtime goals. Might not be the best offensive guys, but hes the one holding them together
