Can I have Kessler. Sorry guys think hecould help build a young team. That preparation and work ethic and shift after shift tenacity. - hafgod
Agree Kesler could however, we would need to keep Vanek. Vanek on the Left and Kesler in the middle would be a huge step in showing Vanek it's a retool, just like adding Bobby Ryan would show him.
I have never claimed to be a prospect guy... who's wilson? The dman?
Laich though? ANOTHER 2C? Rather have a winger.. - JVince11
It's not what I want but it's what I think will happen:
As for Wilson. 1st round pick last year, a more skilled version of Foligno. I hate to say it because it usually never comes true but he really has the ability to be the next lucic. Would look great in sabres uni.
Excerpt from a scouting report:
Tom Wilson is a big, strong, mean, physical power forward that will lay the body on you any chance he has. He uses his size and strength effectively to dominate down low and along the boards. His cycle game is very good, he’s good defensively, he can kill penalties and he’s tough as nails. He’ll do anything he can to help his team win, whether it’s blocking shots, laying a big hit, or chipping in offensively. Wilson will stick up for his teammates and will take on anybody that comes his way. He uses his size very well to drive the net and go to the dirty areas of the ice, and he’ll never take a shift off.
This team is in dire need of a 1st line center and has for years now. Everybody's tradeable... trade whoever it takes to get Ryan. On Myers, I'd give him another season to gel. Trade/maneuver to get a higher pick and get a D-man.

Foligno, girgensons, and larsson?... another Ott?
They all sound pretty similar...
I want a solid 3rd line checking line and 6 very good scorers above them..

At 8th overall, we're likely to have the ability to draft the best defensemen behind Jones. And since a top 3 pick has already been ruled out, if we want D, we might as well just stay at 8.

He's probably more skilled than 3 of those 4 guys you listed (Girgensons being a bit better). I would rather a skill guy coming back but now that Forsberg is gone I just can't see WSH wanting to trade Kuznetsov. Gut feeling says Wilson if it's washington or maybe Johansson.

Yeah, point taken...if we did move up, I wouldn't except anything less than a top 3 pick and a possible franchise forward in the near future.
